I was so nervous choosing a new hairdresser but was assured on the phone that John would be perfect for me. And he was! He cut my fine hair beautifully first time. I will definitely be going back. Not the cheapest hairdresser, but worth it for a great cut and comparable to others of this quality.

I have always had the best experience at Miles Wilson. Front desk always friendly and very attentive to your needs. Beautiful Amanda always does my hair - she gives good blow dry! I am genuinely happy each time I walk out of there and I think my hair always looks great. Amanda gives great advice/suggestions and seems to work with your hair, rather than against it! It's nice that she remembers me and things about me and more importantly the intricacies of my hair. Glad I work in Elsternwick because it gives me a reason to visit the salon on my lunch break.

I am rarely satisfied with hairdresser experiences but I genuinely enjoyed going here and I really like my hair!! I usually have a week of despair over a new doo but Virginia (a very nice kiwi) sorted out my mane of very thick impossible wavy hair and made it look nice. I would definitely recommend her and the salon.

What could I possibly say about Miles & Wilson? John (Miles) and Pamela (Wilson) are the heartbeats of the salon where I have been getting my hair cut & colored for 22 years. I used to nip over the road after school when the salon was on Gardenvale Road. Now the journey time is more like 24 hours as I make my way home from London every two years or so - just to have my hair done naturally!

And if you want your very long hair cut short - John is the man. He has cut mine super short several times and so many people asked me where I had it done.

I needed a cut and colour and am new to the area - Miles Wilson caught my eye because it seemed very stylish kind of place. They were able to make a booking for me that day and I had Amanda as my hair technician. Amanda was so lovely - we chatted non stop, there was lots of laughing and cheeky conversation which was really nice. Made a lovely cup of tea for me as well. Kerryn the work experience girl was also lovely and did a great job washing my hair. I got a great cut and colour, was so happy with it I came back to play with Amanda again. The follow up welcome letter in the post is a nice touch. Definately more pricey than other salons I have been to but I found it to be of high quality and 110% service. Would definately return!! My favourite salon in Melbourne. Very knowledgable and helpful - excellent product knowledge. Go and see Amanda, what a little honey. :-)

Went and had a cut and colour on a Thursday night after work. Pamela coloured my hair and John cut it. They offered some great suggestions and fixed up a previous hair cut. I left feeling great, very pleased with my colour and cut. My hair feels really healthy now as John gave me a precision cut fixing up all the ends. Pamela put in a a few different foils of colour than what I usually have through my hair which I LOVE. The team are great, deffinately going back (easy to get to right across the rd from the station) and they know their stuff. I have been to a few hairdressers, some of them high end but these guys are really really good. I would am referring friends.

I've always had long hair and decided to go short but was terrified as I don't have a usual hairdresser I trusted. Based on the reviews on this site I decided to drive to the other side of town to try Miles Wilson. The result? Fantastic! All the ladies were lovely and the lady who cut my hair (Virginia) did a brilliant job. I absolutely love the result and have booked in next week to get my colour done. Can't wait to go back!

When my daughter started using Miles Wilson, her hair looked so stylish and fashionable - I was most impressed. I began to think about my own "style"- dated long hair tied back or pinned up. For forty years I had never been to a hair dresser. I asked if she would take me with her next time she had a hair appointment. Pamela made sure I was comfortable with the dramatic change in style before she took out her scissors and gave me a very short,chic, low maintenance style that made me look10 years and feel 20 years younger. Then I discovered the facial treatments and pamper packages. Never, in my life have I received so many comments on my appearance -- all very flattering. The staff all know me now, seem genuinely friendly and I look forward to my visits.

I got the best cut I've had in years. This salon had a great feel. They made me feel important and they really listen. John suggested a cut that fixed years of bad hair cuts, suited my face shape and my fine hair. He also gave me great advice for styling it myself at home. I feel, after 6 years of living in the St Kilda area, that I've found a hairdresser 'my' hairdresser.

I previously didn't have my own hairdresser, then just walked into Miles Wilson by chance a couple of years ago, and met Virginia - I didn't really know what I wanted, so trusted her to do whatever she thought would suit me - I got my best haircut ever, and heaps of compliments from total strangers. I've been a loyal customer ever since. Virginia has the ability to translate my vague directions into a cut and colour that always suits me and looks amazing.
