I had been wanting to try this place for so long, but had never been able to get a table as they are always so busy. Finally had the opportunity to eat there midweek. Still busy but only had to wait half an hour for a table. I was disappointed with my sticky toffee pudding which was a bit dry. My friends however loved their devonshire teas. The tea was weak and made with tea bags and served in plain white coffee cups. Service was poor. It's a shame that Miss Marple's doesn't live up to its decor and reputation.

I have been to this place and also felt that it was not quite what it seemed and maybe a bit too expensive.

Most of the locals in the Danedong Ranges don't go there. We as in hubby and I prefer either Kallista Tea Rooms or Olinda Golf Course - scones, service and whole experience is so much better

We had a wonderful lunch here last weekday. Delicious Cream/Devon Teas, open sandwiches and the atmospherewas so cute. I have recommended Miss Marple's to many visitors and none have been disappointed

Approximate cost: $20

The best scones, jam and cream in Victoria! I've tried many items on the menu, and even though the food is expensive, the food is great and the service is great. I am more than happy to come here and wait in queue.

Approximate cost: $14

This is supposedly *the* place to go for Devonshire Teas in the Dandenong Ranges. It's always busy and can be hard to get a table, but the staff are pretty efficient at figuring out when a table will be free. The food is variable - some of the mains we had were a bit so-so - and the prices are fairly high for what you get. The Welsh rarebits are nice - recommended. And the scones (the reason most people go there!) are nice, light and tasty with yummy jam and cream. Service is great, prompt, polite, and attentive.

Bit of a wait due to it being a weekend. I had the beef cottage pie but wasn't all too impressed by it, rather bland in taste, lacking the wow factor. The tea and scones on the other hand were great! Definitely come here for Devonshire tea.

Approximate cost: $15.00

Heard great things about Miss Marple's, so I'll have to admit that my expectation might have been too high.

Firstly, they don't take bookings, which I think can get a bit annoying if you've driven 45 mins only to have to wait another 45 mins to get a table. It did give my friends and I the opportunity to have a wander and check out the other stores, which was pretty fun. So you might just have to make the most out of a less than desirable situation...

I had the Quiche Lorraine & salad and frankly, I've had a lot better. While the portion was huge (and I mean it was a very "high" slice, not just wide), I felt the quiche was very eggy. They used puff pastry rather than short-crust and because it was so big, I felt the balance was all wrong.

Miss Marple's is known for their Devonshire scones and again, they didn't look very appealing. They weren't like your traditional round scones but like square slices of cake! They weren't individually baked but looked as though they were cut out of one bigger piece. The jam, though, was very good and probably made up for the underwhelming scones.

Overall, probably won't be back. With the trip, the wait and the average food, it's not something that I would recommend to people... but, it is Miss Marple's and it is in the Dandy Ranges...

the so called scones here are more like damper, there are much nicer places for afternoon tea in the hills such as Kallista Tea Rooms and Olinda Golf Course

The food is great here. Prices are a bit on the higher side but it is well worth a visit. Nice and cosy, only thing is you can't book in so may be in for a bit of a wait.

Approximate cost: $22.00

Make sure you take someone else with you because you need to share. Food is amazing. The prices are a little steep but what you get is worth every cent. You can't pre-book which is a shame because they are always flat out so generally you have to wait to get a table. Still so worth it. Great atmosphere and worth the drive!
