The staff make you feel at home, the decorations are as expected - something out of an Agatha Christie novel, and the food is magnificent. My friends and family have never once been disappointed and the sundaes are a meal in themselves (for 2 people!!!). A bit pricey, but well worth what you get...don't order too much and be prepared to share!!

A gorgeous place to have lunch with friends. The food is delicious and it can be quite difficult to decide what to have as you want to try a bit of everything. It is often very busy and there may be a wait for a table which can be quite annoying but when you are finally seated and have your meal it will be worth the wait.

It is great atmosphere, and the food is OK and better than most but some of it isn't great. Good size servings though. Can be a wait (10-50 mins) for a table on weekends, but there a some nice shops across the road to browse in whilst you wait.

Approximate cost: $13

A very busy place, since it's so popular. If you're lucky enough to get a table, you're in for a real treat. The food is to die for! It's so mouth-watering that it kills to see other tables served before you get your order- sky high pavlovas, delicious pies. Good, cheerful service. Great place to take your out-of-town friends.

I like the environment of this place. The tea room is very cosy and a great place to go in winter to warm up with a hot chocolate and a slice of pie. The food is exquisite, ranging from delicious sweets to wholesome savories.

Approximate cost: $15.00

I love going to Miss Marples, although I still find it a bit creepy that the whole place is based on a fictional character... I love the food (esp the desserts!), its always a pleasure going to sassafrass.

I've been to Miss Marples on several occasions, and have enjoyed it thoroughly every time. The servers are genuinely friendly and helpful. The mains are well prepared and the desserts are simply delicious - the Belgian Waffles they were running as a special the last two times I was there are some of the best waffles I've eaten outside of home. I have to admit that having grown up in England, the fluffy cake-like scones they serve don't appeal to me (I'm told that these are so-called lemonade scones, a speciality of the area), but otherwise, a lovely meal on a day out driving.

Always a pleasure! The atmosphere in his quaint tea room is lovely - Agatha Christie style. The food is always served with generous helpings, so make sure you go with an empty stomach! The scones should be shared between 2 (or 3!) and the 'Vickers Folly' is unbelievable - worth the drive up the mountain just for this!

This is one of the best tea rooms in the Dandenongs!! Agatha Christie's Miss Marple is the theme of the tea rooms. They hae a fantastic selection of light meals and snacks. The cottage pie is fantastic.

If you still have room after the light meals (they are VERY generous servings) the deserts are fantastic!! Great scones with lashings of jam and cream and a variety of other decadent selections.

I always take out of state and overseas visitors to Miss Marple's!
