Absolutely amazing buffet on the weekends. A lot of healthy and non-meat options to keep everyone pleased with very efficient and friendly staff at hand. The prices are rather high but the quality is so good that is easily forgotten!

Went here for the first time to try their buffet and it was amazing. The quality of the food was astounding. Unlike a lot of places the mainly do salad or pasta as part of their all you can eat, miss Maud's you get to eat whatever you like including all the roast meats. The food is so fresh and the staff are very friendly... And the desserts... Mmmmmmmmm YUM.. I will 100% be going back.

Approximate cost: $30

After reading about this hotel and restaurant in my trusty Lonely Planet guidebook, when I went to Perth for a holiday, I booked one night accommodation here.

Why this place? The Smörgåsbord breakfast seemed soooo delicious from what I read! Gotta have a good start to the day with a good brekkie right? hahaha Breakfast is included in the tariff which is handy.

Okay ... many of us have had a good brekkie at a hotel, but this place was just exceptional! Cooked hot food was there, hot drinks, juice, deli cold cuts, fruits, cereals, breads ... and not forgetting the freshly baked pastries including danishes and croissants were just magnificent!!

The rooms were comfortable, certainly not luxurious. The bed was soft for my liking and I got a much needed good night's sleep after sightseeing.

Staff were polite and helpful too when I checked in and approached the front desk with my enquiries.

Another winning point of this hotel is location, close to everything about 5 minutes walk or so ... which suited me perfect to be close to the CBD.

Definitely on my next trip to WA I will be sure to book accommodation at Miss Maudes.

On a recent trip back to Perth I had to visit Miss Maud's for the buffet lunch! Always remembered the beautiful food and it didn't disappoint! The buffet is beautifully presented and the service is friendly. Even on a weekday (Thursday) the place was quite busy so obviously still very popular. There is a great selection of seafood (prawns, herring) and salad which is the best part of the buffet. Hot dishes good but not great. If I could give one piece of advice, they should look at replacing the pots of filtered coffee with freshly made because I think that Perth has moved on from that. But still a great experience.

Approximate cost: $34 pp / buffet lunch; drinks extra

every year we go to Miss Mauds as a family get together. Always a good feed, with the seafood being the best. Consistently high quality that you can rely on. It has a good atmosphere- I just feel sorry for the girls in those uniforms!! A very reasonably priced meal- including tea and coffee. love their prawns- we have many happy memories there.

I am a fan of the Ms Maud's Smorgasbord and I do wonder why I don't go there more often. Anywa, I had the pleasure of dining there again last weekend. As expected, it didn't dissapoint (though I wish they had the beef and cabbage soup which was delicious the last time I went). Freshly cooked cold prawns, mussels were the main highlight. I also absolutely adore the herring in mustard (mayo-like) sauce, devillied eggs, variety of salads, etc. In the hot food section, they served roast beef with vege, meatballs, cauliflower cheese, sausages, sauerkraut, etc.... Desert was pretty decent with at least 4 types of cakes plus brownies, jelly cups, etc. Love the rustic European ambiance. This place offers good value for money and will definitely go back there.

Approximate cost: $34 buffet

Clean premises that can cater for larger groups. Staff are pleasant. Buffet seemed limited at the time of our visit and food wasnt as fresh as it could have been. Table service for drinks is offered. I feel it is over prices for what is offered.
