I've been meaning to try Misty's Diner for a while now since I noticed it a few months ago. So today I went as I finished visiting a friend early and was in the area.
The second I walked in I was in love! Kitsch 60s music, the decor was colourful including alot of old vinyl records on the wall, there was a large selection of American soft drinks, candy, and other snacks that can't be bought here.
The place just had such a great vibe, the staff were really so nice, but not because they had to be. It seemed like they all wanted to be there, and it really came across and I instantly felt comfortable. Then Misty herself came over and chatted to myself and another friend who met met there, and she was the best!
So much to choose from on the menu, and I ordered fries loaded with taco meat. WAS SOOOO GOOD!!! And with me being the fussiest eater ever born they were great and left out everything I didn't want in the order. Then we had desert, the most amazing chocolate/cinnamon Sundae, complete with a chocolate tortilla.
It was THAT good I started texting friends about it while I was there. At the end, the whole lot cost $38.00, which was 2 mains, 2 deserts and a drink. Safe to say this has become my favourite place ever and will be going back again and again. And again!

I was told about this place by a friend of mine, and it came very highly reccommended. The thickshakes are AMAZING! completely artery clogging, but fabulous!

A great experience of American dining culture in the 1950's. The customer service was fantastic and the selection of food and drink was huge. It was also nice to see something on the menu for vegetarians and those who want a light meal. To compliment all of this the wonderful sounds of American Rock n' Roll were there to set the perfect mood.

MMMMMisty's!! I always leave Mist's Diner feeling unwell - not from the food, but from my inability to choose just one thing to eat, so I usually order three or so incompatible dishes and they're always so good, I can't stop until I've finished them all. Yes, I have put on some weight since discovering Misty's -but honestly, who can stop before they get to the bottom of a thickshake with NINE candy bars? Mmmmmisty's....

OH, AND the passionate host is constantly adding new items to the menu or improvising something exciting, so you can never bore of this place.

OHHH AND the Elvis and Marilyn memorabilia and uplifting tunes create an addictive ambience.

Ohhhh.....and let's not forget to mention that you can get Dr Pepper from Misty's.

mmmmmmm

Misty's diner is my favorite place to eat, the range of excellent American food is the only problem - I never know what to get! The food takes a little while to arrive, but its definitely worth the wait. The serves are an excellent size and always taste absolutely brilliant. There's a great range of American drinks and sweets as well, and Misty makes an absolutely amazing thickshake.
The decor of the diner is very appropriate for its 50's style, the walls covered with records and little jukeboxes on each table.
I would definitely recommend Misty's for any occasion.

Because I've lived in the United States, I am pretty critical of anyone trying to imitate the US or Tex-Mex style, but Misty's is amazing. The owner came to our table to see where we were from, and to make sure everything was OK. The setting is great, and the food was superb - too bad we didn't have more room to fit the generous portions. I ordered onion rings, which are a rarity in Oz, and found while they weren't quite like the American type, they were good. My son ordered chili fries, and he found them to be excellent. I had the potato skins with chili-a combination I'd never tried before, but it was very good. The chili is so good, and you can choose mild if you want - so much more like homemade than the tinned stuff. We'll be coming back again whenever we are in the area. The peanut butter/chocolate milkshake was amazing, and the root beer float was a real treat. Thank you for a really amazing experience, Misty's.

Misty's Diner is an amazing place. Filled with Great service, great food, great atmosphere and the best in American Soft drinks - the drinks we as Australian's would love if they were here, but love more because its so hard to track down.

I recently only just found out Misty's Diner is now on facebook - simply search 'Mistys Diner' - you can see the latest menu (with pics and descriptions), see who else is friends with Misty's - offer your compliments/feedback to the cook and just see bits of what makes Misty's Diner the groovyness it is...

Misty's Diner from what I have seen has also JUST set up a Facebook group, offering patrons monthly and on going promo's and specials - Pics of Misty's adventures, a place where you can write your own review on the experience and read other peoples.... Be sure to look into it...

Misty has been a long time friend so when she opened her dinner my family just had to go - we have been several times and the food is great and the atmopshere and service - FAB! - keep up the good work. My son even goes for lunch from school some days with all of his friends and they love it - and as for parking - treat yourself - have the car washed while your eating!

What fun this place is!! We ordered the home made mozzella sticks with napoli sauce and they were just perfect! Had a California Club and Philly Cheesesteak and I thought I was in the USA. Most impressive, however, was the service. I've dined at many "high-end" restaurants and the service I got at Misty's leaves them in the dust.
