What a fantastic place, after enjoying lots of burgers & American food in the U.S it was a delight to find this restaurant in Melbourne. Large portions of quality food at great value, super burgers, fabulous chilli fries, excellent onion rings & awesome thickshakes (YUM!!!) Misty is an absolute sweetie with the most bubbly personality, no wonder the place is a hit. We'll be back you can count on that!!!

I had the messiest hamburger ever to eat... but as the menu says, that is what you can expect and they do warn you as they bring it out to leave it wrapped as you eat.
That said, it was one of the best hamburgers I've ever had... their special sauce really makes a difference.

Then there were the Chilli Fries on the side - they came highly recommended to me by my dinning partner, who has eaten there many time before... and they lived up to his high standard.

NEVER order a "milkshake" at Misty's because they don't do them... only THICK shakes and these are heavenly and come in a variety of flavours... I've only tried a "plain" chocolate but next time will have to try some of the enhanced flavours like Oreo ;)

I arrived early when meeting up with friends and just sat down a spare booth and they were content to leave me alone and hassle me. Misty herself did come over to check that my order hadn't been forgotten or anything and when I said I was waiting for friends, she just left me alone for another 1/2 hour until they did turn up... which was a great relief - as I decided to use the time to write up some emails on my laptop and I hate it when waiters constantly come up and ask "can they help me". If I wanted their help, I'd ask... so it was great to see them just leave me in peace until _I_ was ready to order something (and I got the thickshake)

Also, I've since found out they have a wireless hotspot and next time I return I'll find out how to access it and how much, if anything, it costs to access.

Something different if you're tired of the average diner or takeaway in Melbourne. Meal sizes are very generous considering the price of the meals. A nice cheap meal for a quick lunch getaway.

The saying 'It could only happen in America....' comes to mind when I hit Misty's for a meal. It can only happen in America where the sugar and calories are hundreds, when there are pork spare ribs and rance sauce on the menu, but most imporantly, its only in America when EVERYTHING (even the 'French Fries') are EXTRA LARGE!!! Walking back into the 1950's is what happens when you enter Misty's welcoming diner, not taccy or overclassed like Hard Rock, Misty's is original, with booth seating and candy cola's surrounding.
A highlight....Misty herself, her enthusiasm abounds and you cant help but get caught up in the moment and ask for extra chocolate sauce on an already over compensated by choccie sauce brownie.
Loved the meal, pretty cheap as well, for the servings were really big. You will come home full, and probably with a few extra cans of Canadian Dry and some candy!

I love Misty's more that a fat kid loves cake, more than the flowers love the rain, and even more than Jason loves Kylie.

The food is better than any burger joint in melbourne, yet also manages one of the best burger joint style vegetarian menu's around.
The chilli chesse fries are amazing, rich and tasty but somehow arent greasy at all.
The THICKshakes come in really inventive flavours, all the food is served full of love - straight from the enigmatic Misty herself! Plus you wont pay $5 for a soda like at sodarock.

I went to Misty's after hearing about it on the radio. My son loves everything America, and so he was in Heaven! I felt like we were sitting in a real American Diner- the atmosphere, surroundings, menu and the food. Misty was great, & was very keen to accomodate our vegetarian needs. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was great, and we returned two nights later as my son wanted more cheese sticks! We will be returning again.

Sunday Morning, Sporting a massive hangover and having agreed to meet our friends at Mistys (for the first time), after a rave review from them.
To be honest I have high expectations of this place, having previously worked at a 50's themed Diner, Eaten at many a Greasy spoon Diner in the USA and being the creator of a Melbourne Greaser Club. I was expecting a nice little theme restaurant which you would be happy to visit once tell your friends you had been there.
What I got was so much more.
For one thing, the place is attached to a car wash, and when you walk into the diner, you almost get the feeling that its a service station diner which totally rocks!

The biggest surprise that Misty herself was personally making the rounds, greeting all the customers, and being genuinely interested in what people were saying. She came over and took our order (which was interesting since we all wanted one of everything).
The food was insanely good, and not as greasy as i have expected, the Shakes were insanely good, the selection of soft drinks was great... I love my Dr pepper and its so hard to find these days!
The atmosphere was relaxed and we happily sat around for a few hours.

Mistys Diner is a place that definitely demands several repeat visits, and I have no doubts that they will not disappoint.

My daughter and I visited Misty's after hearing about the diner on the radio. Our first visit also included a car wash. We were served quickly and with a smile. Always a great start. The food arrived well presented, mammoth proportions and was fresh. We couldnt get through it all. Upon leaving we were asked if we enjoyed the food and if we were full! We both gave Misty a resounding Yes. We'll definately be back to try more of what's on offer from the menu. Great choices and all meals look so inviting. Our meals on this occasion were yummy and looked exactly as described in the menu.

In my 9 years in Australia I have never had a better dining experience than I had at Misty's. She is as loving and caring as any grandmother used to be from a long gone era (but she's too young and pretty to be from that era). Service with a big beautful smile!!! These days most places you get an abrubt "are you right?", no not at Misty's. I truly felt at home, having my Thanksgiving meal (that's when Americans used to thank the LORD (the God of the Bible), for the land. Now, it's been twisted to say that they thanked the American Indians..I don't think that I ever felt more at home, even at home than I (and my family) felt at Misty's!!

WOOOWWWW omigod! i just cant describe how good the food was! MAN!!!! My first time when i ate at mistys i ordered a " Mistys Amercian style burger " but normally i dont like meat, but the reason why i tried this burger is because what is looked like in the picture man that picture made my mouth watery! it made my mouth even more watery when it came out to me, the first thing misty said to me was " You better keep it wraped up coz its gonna get messy!" so if anyone does read this, i supose you do go to mistys diner and try those burgers she has, but i cant forget that thick shake that i had after i was done with the burger ( oreo thickshake) now that was awsome!
