Had a great time meeting other Americans at the diner. The food is not really my kind of thing, but the others seemed to enjoy it. The veggie burger I had was very nice. Misty was a card (!) and lots of fun. I look forward to our next meet-up at Misty's.

I thought TGI's was the ultimate in american dining until I went to Misty's. The atmosphere is completely amazing. The old Style booths and little jukeboxes on every table. The food is so delicious ( make sure you wear elastic waisted pants) the servings are a decent size and your gonna wanna have dessert. Misty's Cheese sticks are the bomb ( with ranch dressing). And you can buy pop tarts.

Approximate cost: $15

A true taste of America. Friendly, personable staff performing a level of service that we usually only experience when we head across the pacific. The atmosphere is a bit over the top with pics of Presley and Monroe everywhere but somehow there's a familiar feel of a US diner.

The fare is typical of what you'd expect with items such as Ribs, Chilli, Cheesy Fries, and Philly Cheesesteak. It's better than most diners I've visited in the US - and I've been to a lot.

i had never been to or heard of mistys diner before yesterday.

but my friend and i researched where to dine out "american style" for my sisters birthday as she is a massive fan of america and came across mistys diner website. We initially called to ask if they were the only american diner in Melbourne. Misty replied with she was the the only good one.
So we decided to go to there to one see if it lived up to expectations and two, if misty was that confident why not go there. right?

well it most definately did live up. and more.
with so much to choose from on the menu we didnt know what to order. i finally chose the american style hambuger and some chilli fries. And me i dont usually buy a hamburger and eat it willingly i usually take it apart and pick off most of it. With Mistys hamburger there was no need. Everything was perfect.
The patty tasted like it was a piece of steak. with the fillings inside and the excellent sauce/ marinate it was by far the best hamburger i have ever had in my life. and i am nearly 20.
the drink selection is great i had an american drink called black cherry it tasted like a cherry chupa chup only better. :)
i had a thickshake for desert thinking i had enough room to fit one in. (being used to the mc donalds style thickshake) but i promise you you have never had a thickshake until you go to mistys. they dont use milk. just ice cream and the flavour you choose. wow.

and the service. 100% grerat staff. misty herself comes to the table to make sure everything is to standards and everyone is satisfied and also just for a chat. The other staff also great. Friendly and great to talk to. I would reccomend this diner to anyone.

100% satisfied :) :)

We were surprised to find an advertisement for this diner, we had not heard of it. We decided to take some Aussie friends out for an American diner experience and we were not dissapointed. There was a large selection of traditional "counter food", everything from onion rings to pattymelt to chilidogs with homemade chili!. It was all good quality, very flavourful and surprisingly not greasy! In addition, there is a large selection of USA foods such as poptarts and canned softdrinks. It was hard to decide what to order, we decided pretty much right away we'd need to make this a regular stop.

Very friendly, attentive service. Great food, using quality ingrediants. Good variety on menu. Not greasy. My American friend is very annoyed that she has lived in Melbourne for six years and only recently discovered Misty's.

Approximate cost: $11
