One of my favourite coffee shops in Melbourne. It is conveniently located next to me and I plan most of my meet ups here. Staff are unbelievably friendly. Love their coffee and dessert. Had dinner here once & ordered the butter chicken and my friends ordered a burger. It wasn't the best meal but considering they don't specialise in Indian food we left satisfied! The smoked salmon bagel is a must have. It can however get very busy on the weekend.

This is a nice little shop. It has nice service and nice drinks and food. Mocha Jo's has nice staff and is at a good price. I would recommend this to all my friends.

Finding a table initially was difficult. We first went inside, but it was far too noisy, so decided to sit outside.
The waitress was fantastic, friendly, and made the time to welcome us properly wishing rushing us to pick something off the menu.
The meals took close to 40 minutes to come out at 1pm on a Friday, a bit longer than expected but it was extremely busy.
Our food was fantastic and could not be faulted (risotto and butter chicken).
Coffee was amazing, we happily had seconds.
This is not a quiet place to come with gran, it has a much more busy, youthful vibe. Maybe it has its quiet times... Will have to check it out another day.

This cafe has a good atmosphere. It is a good place to have a coffee. The service was pretty good, my coffee came out pretty quick. All the staff were friendly, they made us feel welcomed. thumbs up!

I liked Mocha Jo's. Their food is great. Sometimes the staff seem so busy that it is hard to get their attention, but I guess they are just so worked off their feet. I'd go again, just maybe not at peak times.

I have been going to Mocha Joes for a number of years and have never had a bad meal. The staff are friendly, just need to not be so smart and come down to earth a bit. The milkshakes are also a bit expensive!

always hear abt great places to eat in the CBD but dont like to travel so far & decided to try this place. Very surprised with the quality of food, absolutely loved the Seafood Risotto (lunch menu)! :) a lil noisy but still a nice place to dine, would go again.

This place is always full even when we were there for afternoon tea at about 3.30pm. Fortunately, they still serve their lunch menu (and specials) at that time. Service here is always very good with very attentive and well trained staff.

The food is also very good. Generally they serve typical cafe food (steaks, fish and chips, lamb, chicken etc) but I would say the food comes out classier than your typical cafe. Hubby and I shared a starter of crispy Pork Belly (highly recommended), I had the fish and chips (pretty good) and hubby had the pasta from their set menu (excellent). My dad had the Kangaroo steak in mint sauce there for dinner once and still talks about it so it must have been really good. Hubby also mentioned that his coffee was excellent (I am not a big fan of coffee)

The management have really thought about the image that they want to portray and it comes across in the quality of staff and their food.

It also comes out a little bit in their prices. They are a little pricier than your average cafe but like I said, they are a little posher than the average cafe.

They do have seating outside (or alfresco) but I would avoid that if I could help it. There is a lot of foot traffic in Kingsway and I can imagine that it would distract from the excellent food.

Overall I really like this restaurant. The prices do make it such that we don't go there regularly, especially with so many excellent and cheaper restaurants in the area. But once in a while for a treat and for a good cup of coffee, we give it a go and have not been disappointed. A little shocked when we pay the bill but never disappointed :-)

This place is very busy so best get in early before the lunch time crowd hits. The coffee is good and they have a good range of salads etc that are super yummy. Don't like sitting on the pavement though as its way too busy out there.

I have stopped here for a coffee and snack with the wife a few times after a movie.

Service is good if they are not too busy. I don't stay if the only table is out dront as the passing foot traffic is annoying.

My wife says the coffee is very good (I don't drink coffee) and I always enjoy my cakes and slices.

Never been for a full meal so I cannot comment on that.

I would recommend you book on summer weekends as it is nearly impossible to get in at this time.
