This place is so amazing and unique. What attracted me to go here was the fact that they freeze the icecream in liquid nitrogen. It can be a little pricey, but they have a rotating range of original flavours. I tried the Nutella flavour, which consisted of a chocolate cake, vanilla icecream and a syringe of Nutella. It was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back again.

Fancy ice cream joints are popping up everywhere, but this one is well worth it! It has the theatre and 'sciencey' feel of a place using liquid nitrogen in your food, but the ice cream is delicious also! A nice sugar hit of 'brulee' ice cream went down a treat, and I love seeing what new flavours these guys come up with.

Wow factor! sickeningly good ice cream creations which are so extravagant in both appearance & flavour! Mine had a glazed doughnut in it... Very extreme!

This place is totally cool! All the staff wear laboratory coats and the frozen gelato is awesome. Totally Instagram worthy <3

The coolest ice cream in town. I love the layout of the shop and the flavours are all incredibly delicious. Even in winter I'd stop by for ice cream almost weekly. Very friendly staff, cool vibe.

Everytime I think about n2 I get cravings and want to go back, My friend and I came form the other side of melbourne to try this place and we got there about 10-11pm on a summers night we lined up for ages! the line was out the door it was crazy, then we ran into another friend int he line who lives near us- that just shows how damn good this place is. I got a pandan creme brulee and it was so tasy my friend got the sundae with a jam syringe and chcolate topping, although hers looked super impressive the pandan won for sure. oh and my mum got a king kong which was also delicious. it was all delicious. and fun.

This place is so cool! you choose what flavour ice cream you want and then you watch a little science show of your ice cream is being made. Staff are really friendly and you can tell they love their job. The ice cream is pretty cheap as well! Definitely check this one out!!

The ice cream was amazing. Watching it being made with the liquid nitrogen was like an awesome science experiment. So many flavours to choose from... go ferrero that was definitely the favorite. it gets busy in the afternoons to expect a wait.. but worth it.

N2 Extreme Gelato, is a very interesting experience. It's not just about the ice-cream! The store is very cool, with areas to sit as well as to stand and watch your ice cream being made! All the ice creams/ gelato are made to order in front of you with liquid nitrogen. The flavours aren't your average kind, with tastes including rock melon and proscuitto and buttered popcorn. But the menu changes regularly. Each time I have been here, there has been a big line and a bit of a wait. It's a busy place, and I was told there would be a 15 minute wait, so theres really no reason to complain. They offer only one size at $6, which I believe is great value. You would pay the same amount at any average ice cream shop in Melbourne. For the calibre of the icecream and how its made, I would have paid more. I would definitely recommend a visit to N2.

Definitely a very different/attention grabbing experience and product. However I am not sure I would go back. The gelato was a little bit too 'soft serve' for my taste and felt somewhat fake. It was also a little on the expensive side. After the first time, I would get over the novelty of the experience.
