This place has been around since I was a little girl .. and surprisingly its still going strong! :) CHEAP as chips , always such a wide variety of stock , brands and items! The perfect little grocery-type store for budget shopping , kids school snacks & affordable prices for families that are less fortunate than others. If you've never been to NQR before ; you're missing out on SOO many Bargains.

This is a great place to shop that has awesome prices on food. The weekly discounted items save me lots of money on my grocery shop. Just the other week i was in a major supermarket and saw the price of grated cheese. It was very dear. I went to NQR and got 1.2kgs of the same stuff for less than a quarter of the price.

Admittedly I am an infrequent customer here as I live a long way from the store but over the years I have noticed what I think is a decline in the sort of products and in the cost savings available. I may have been unlucky with the times I have called in. The few things I have found to be useful to me have been fine and I have no qualms about quality. The staff have been good whenever I have visited the store.

Stock on special varies from week to week, some a lot better than others. Walkin freezer very cold in this store, so go rugged up. Parking at door, which is very handy.It gives you a chance to test new produce at low prices.

Love this shop. The staff are friendly. The price are great. so cheap makes shopping for my family so affordable. I go there once a week for all the new products.

NQR is grocerie seconds, really cheap. It stands for not quite right however its cheap and fabulous. Highly recommended.

I love NQR. It's fantastic! Everything is so cheap.. Yesterday I got oreos for $1, 6 kids milk drinks for $1.99, yohgurt for $1.. and so much more. recommended!

NQR is one of those surprising discount outlets. I used to be skeptical because we once purchased cheese from the one in Bendigo and suspect it may've not been refridgerated properly leading to a bad experience..
The Wendouree store is certainly a different story!!
I have been going out there a lot more often. You can pick up a lot of refrigerated items (cool room = food definitely not going off!) like copper pot dips, fresh stuffed pasta and ricotta cheese for nearly half if not half the price the supermarkets are charging. A lot of items that may be past the best before are still fine (eg. a chilli tomato paste we picked up for $1 or something silly!). Its really worth checking out first.

We have been shopping at NQR here since moving from Melb about 3years ago ... The couple of NQR's I had been to in Melb did not give as friendly customer service at the checkout like the staff at Wendouree & the variety of items are by far better here Wendouree.
We get our cheese slices, yoghurt, philly & fruit juice at NQR. The freezer section also often has great priced items.
We can get about 3 to 4 supermarket bags of goodies for under $25 : )

I must say, I was sceptical going there the first time, but after going there and actually coming out with a shopping basket full with very reasonable priced groceries, I now always do my "big" shop at NQR first, then finish off with one of "those" other supermarkets.

It great to see you can still get products in date, at great value, and not have to worry is there anything wrong with it. So the date may fall soon - but with a household of kids, who has food to sit around for long anyway.
