Odd Spot is a great little place! Lovely and cosy! I had the smashed avocado, which was awesome! This place is close to home, so I look forward to visiting more often!

The Odd Spot is a great local cafe. Seating is tight, even with on street seating, but the atmosphere is warm and the staff are very friendly. The coffee is good (and the milkshakes are awesome!), and the breakfasts there are generous in their portion sizes. A great place to spend some time with good friends!

Great little local cafe. Reasonable prices & good coffee. Very comfy & homey. Friendly service - a home away from home.

The odd spot is a funky cafe hidden in the grungy side of Newport shopping village, behind the station and neighbouring a tatoo parlour, WISE and Club Traxxx. The food is fabulous and has price points to suit everyone. Muffins and cakes are home made and scrumptious. My favourite is the rasberry and chocolate chip muffin which is a generous size, moist and has lots of rasberries inside and a sugary crumble on top. The honey joys and tarts are great too. The service can sometimes be slow so I would not head there for a quick lunch but the food quality and friendliness make it a cafe I love. There are options on the menu to suit all budgets from a tasty inexpensive home made sausage roll with salad to the pricier salmon fillet business lunch style dish. I often enjoy the turkish bread sanga with rocket and lamb fillet or the soup of the day which are flavour filled and hearty.
Since the opennig of Nosh the shops to the North of it have lifted their game and there is now have a day spa, gallery and some new shops just built. The grungy aspect melts away to the north with the afternoon sun that bathes the kerbside seating.

For brunch they have great pancakes, very cosy atmosphere, outdoor seating which is dog friendly. Last time I went they closed at 5pm.

Great coffee (they serve Di Bella's coffee). Fabulous with kids. Efficient service with a smile. Their muffins are sensational. This place has a great 'vibe' in the mornings when getting that 'coffee fix' first up.
