After being grilled and judged at how thin and dry my hair was I was quoted $410 for half head of foils (I usually pay 180 for the same thing) treatment and a 1cm trim off my ends of hair.I look after my hair as best I can and have truly seen far far worse treated hair than mine! It took 2 hours for someone to offer me a drink, despite asking twice. I chose to come to this salon to feel pampered and treat myself as I knew it was a "fancier" Salon, but I left feeling deflated, poorly treated, thirsty and ripped off.

I went to colour my hair recently. My hair was a dark brown colour and was uneven because i dye it myself previously and was very unsuccessful. I went in for a consult and they explained to me that they have to do a few treatments to even out my hair and will cost me a total of $350. Being very desperately i agreed. After the service I was a bit taken aback that they told me it was semi permanent hair colour. I requested for permanent hair colour and was a bit shock to learn that it wasn't. Also, they told me that i have to come back in a months time to dye it again to get a better effect. I obliged and was happy with the end product because it looks even underneath their yellow lights and i made the mistake of not looking underneath the top layer.

However, when i came home, a friend of mine told me that my hair was very uneven, no different from previous. On closer inspection, there was patches of bright and dark underneath the top layer of my hair. My hair was coloured prior to this service and i understand that it is very tough to even out the colour but i didn't realised it will be this bad. I went to a different salon after and they were really shock that i paid $350 for that. In the end they did a much better job with a MUCH better price.

Very unsatisfied and i don't think i will go back again.

Approximate cost: $350

First time to Oscar Oscar after years of procrastinating. What a wonderful experience, from the minute I entered the salon to the minute I left, I felt pampered, relaxed and well treated. I left Ebony to suggest what she thought would suit me and I was exceptionally surprised at the outcome, and a colour combination I never would have thought of. Although I have never paid this much for a colour/cut in my life, I can happily say I have rebooked and the overall experience is well worth it.

Approximate cost: $350.00

You are very brave to leave it all the stylist. But then again it is their job. Happy you had a great experience.

Class all the way! This is definitely the creme de la creme of hair salons in the area. Prices are steeper than general salons, but that's because they are so good at what they do.

I have trouble, a lot of the time, getting the haircut I want.... mainly because I am female, lesbian, butch, and I DON'T wnt girly stuff done to my hair. Normally this causes an issue, but not here.

Recommended very highly.

My husband had it planned that he would pay for a haircut for me as a treat. He has no clue about hairdressors let me tell you (typical male). I helped the process by dropping little hair dressing business cards on the kitchen bench. My husband just thought it was luck that all these hairdressors business cards were coming in the mail when it was me just dropping hints. He decided to pick one and lucky for me it was Oscar Oscar. The hairdressors are excellent here. My husband was impressed by my new look and he keeps taking credit for discovering them when all time this girl new Oscar Oscar are great!!!!!.

A fantastic hairdresser's in a very busy area and it is just as busy inside. The amount of customers they have coming through is incredible. Being my first time a felt very confident about this. I had foils and a haircut. Love the massage you get a the wash basin. I nearly feel asleep it was so nice.It took along time in there but a came out with beautiful hair. The colour was fantastic and i was so happy with the cut. The only thing i wasn't happy with was the cost. $180 for 6 foils and a cut. Geez that i was nor exprecting. Overall service was great

I think that it helps that my appointment was on a Monday afternoon so it wasnt busy. However, I found going there to be one of the salon experiences ive ever had. I had both Natasha and Ebony looking after me. They spend at least 15 mins both consulting myself and collaborating with each other on my hair colour. I told them exactly what I wanted and they both discussed the best way to achieve it and swapped their professional opinions and came to a definitive answer. The result was spot on and my hair has never been in such good condition. Lovely staff and beautiful atmosphere and shop. Yes the price is expensive, but i believe its good value for your money. They care about what they're doing and they make sure your truly happy with their service and product.

Approximate cost: $180

Expensive, but worth it! These guys are true experts in their field. As someone who knows nothing about hair I know I can go in there and tell them to do whatever they think is best and I will come out with awesome hair. They have different levels of experience in regards to their staff and you pay more for the more experienced they are. The great news for students is that there is a student discount of 25% if you go during specific times. They also have specific hair cutters and colourists. I love Oscar Oscar and think the price is definitely worth it.

Great hair cuts, great colours, they are gentle with your hair and are willing to make recommendations based on your hair type and face shape and always consult you before doing anything. I have always been really happy with the quality of the service. I was skeptical given that they are based in a shopping centre, but they are really good. Prices are a little expensive compared to surrounding salons, but probably worth it.
