9 months ago I did the classic thing of taking in a photo of some supermodel and saying 'cut my hair like this, please!' And lo and behold- they did! Specifically Kate did, and I've been going back ever since.

Kate has nailed the brief every time; the initial cut was from long to short, and it was perfect. It also helps that Kate is really friendly and has been available for all my following haircuts (3 so far).

I found out today O&B can also do little things for maintenance or minor primping (braids, etc) in between cuts for a reasonable cost. I think it's great that they are willing to look after their customers in this way and not just chase after the big-ticket cuts and treatments.

Have really enjoyed my visits so far and will continue to use this salon. Thanks Kate and O&B team.

Expert cutting and colouring and welcoming atmosphere. I've been a regular customer for more than two years and have become addicted to the frequent compliments, often from people I don't know, on how fantastic my hair looks. I think the cost is reasonable given the they use top products and take the time and care to ensure excellent results. Special thanks to Leonie and Jacob as well as Kate, Chris and Andrew for making sure I always look my best.

The first time I walked into Oxhey I wasn't quite sure we would be a good fit. I'm pretty conservative. Leonie has now cut my hair three times - every time I receive compliments about my hair, it had been a loooong time since that had last happened. The reason, I think, is how attentively she listens, and how she considers the natural movement of my hair and the shape of my face. She gives me her utmost attention and comes up with creative solutions. Another loyal customer here!

Excellent. Have been going here for years and they always do an outstanding job.

I have been going to Oxhey and Bushy for a couple of years.

Leonie and Chris have both done a fantastic cut and colour.

They are always happy to listen to what you want and make suggestions which I always take on.

I have walked out with some lovely haircuts and colours and received many compliments.

The only downside for me is I feel it is quite expensive but I haven't been anywhere else for a while.

This place is great with a nice vibe and friendly staff.

Kate has done my hair and knows her stuff - particularly colouring.

The only negative aspects are:

1) they are often so busy that you get asked to move a lot...sit at basin, sit at couch etc which makes it an un-relaxing experience and can make you feel unwelcome in the salon.

2) the price - extraordinarily expensive!

Good for a special occasion or rare cut but not a place that offers value for money

After several years of walking past the salon on Brunswick St and being curious, and after getting completely disillusioned with the supposedly A grade salon and cutter I had previously patronised, I took the plunge and made an appointment with Jane. She is fabulous and amazingly enough, had trained the guy who previously cut my hair. She is a skilled professional with lots of curiosity and her salon is a friendly and stylish place to hang out. Highly recommended.
