PHILLIP MICHAEL’S OF MAYFAIR HAIR & JEWELLERY BOUTIQUE
62 MOLESWORTH STREET LISMORE 2480 02 6622 6986
Phillip for a colour and for a cut the last few months and wow! They are unbelievably, incredible human beings and super talented! They were so helpful in fixing my dying over-processed hair from a previous salon mess up. We kept it platinum for a bit longer, and really Phillip did such an incredible job with the colour.

Hard to get a perfect champagne platinum, but he did!

This week, we decided to jump to a fun red, and it's just so beautiful and exciting! Phillip is just a natural colourist, very intuitive. A rare talent! I also get tons of head turns and compliments from the cut and colour!

I can't recommend coming to see them enough!

The energy of the salon is also really wonderful, unlike some salons in the area.

I love summer the salon dog, she is so sweet, and stays by your side, when you are getting your hair done,

I understand the pain of trying to find the perfect salon or colour and cutting team, and I tell you, these two are it!

I don't even usually write reviews, but I had to, because they are just SO amazing!!!

Seriously, if like me you recently moved and are stressed about your hair, come here Phillip can do any colour and knows even the smallest shade differences in blondes and reds and browns to complement not only your skin tone, but also your personality and style. He and his son bill really care and make the whole experience so much more fun and exciting!! Phillip loves doing a cut that needs no blow-drying it’s wash and go so if you love blow-dry then this isn’t the salon for you, as it is cut create and leave

Why go to Phillip Michael’s of Mayfair hair and jewellery boutique
62 Molesworth Street Lismore 2480

This was a very positive experience for me, I have never been treated better at any salon, and
What I love is they strongly believe in Free consultation is offered to all clients, enabling them to know what they likes and dislikes and offering you the best advice on styling, suitability and aftercare. I was late by 20 minutes but kept them fully informed

They still accommodated me even though I was a half hour late Phillip Michael’s and his son stayed late to see me. They offered me complimentary coffee and water and they was really courteous. I apologized a thousand times.

After the cut and colour were finished, I asked about recommendations for shampoo and they gave me a couple shampoo samples to try out and was really kind answering my questions.

I thought the cut was great and exactly what I wanted.

I am giving this review five stars I have strawberry blonde hair and wanted some deep auburn lowlights, but the colour was the best I have ever had, Phillip did it fully by hand, every hair was coloured using 3 different red tones and missing some of my strawberry blonde hair so it naturally blended in with the new lowlights, it was fantastic The cost wasn't as much as it thought it maybe $390.00 shoulder length thick hair

Just to be clear, I still loved the way my hair looked, I have paid double that in other salons. I would recommend this place to friends, and I will still come back, as a regular client over the last few weeks everyone has stated wow we love your hair, the colour is brill the cut is so naturally and wild, I wash towel rub it and air dry and it falls into the most fantastic style no hard work just a great style

The colour is magical as it changes different colours in different light, indoor it glows 4 different shades under a light it changes warm glow, in the natural light it is softer reds pinks I love it

PHILLIP MICHAEL’S OF MAYFAIR HAIR & JEWELLERY BOUTIQUE
62 MOLESWORTH STREET LISMORE 2480 02 6622 6986

I wanted to spruce things up with a colour, cut and new style. So I, of course, went on Yelp to read the reviews of salons in Lismore I came to the conclusion that Phillip michael’s was my type of place: upscale though not pretentious, higher end products in the store, fair prices and good bios of the stylists.

I arrived to a warm and friendly greeting by all! I sat for about 2 seconds before Phillip came over to introduce himself and see what my plan was. I went in with the idea of going to a brown colour and a more professional haircut. Phillip and Bill as a team helped me decide on the right colour brown and worked his magic with the cut!

He did such a fabulous job, others in the salon who were looking at jewellery were stopping and commenting on his art that is my hair. The colour is beautiful and even throughout and my hair is shinier than it’s been in years! I totally LOVE the cut. I was in awe watching him work!

Phillip was personable, friendly, professional and forthcoming on ways to keep my hair at its best: i.e. opt for a quality blow-dryer!

The salon is fresh, modern

I will be returning to Phillip from here on out as he is now 'my' stylist or as they say hairdressa!

Bill also gave me a great head massage with the shampoo.

I had a great time at this salon and would recommend Phillip to my closest friends!

PHILLIP MICHAEL’S OF MAYFAIR HAIR & JEWELLERY BOUTIQUE
62 MOLESWORTH STREET LISMORE 2480 02 6622 6986
The salon itself is beautiful and clean the brushes are VERY well-maintained. Staff is generally friendly and yes, their services are expensive but that comes with the territory

Now for my main review on Phillip Michael’s, Bill the son did my hair whom I have gone to for hair straightening services. I naturally have frizzy, curly hair and have been chemically straightening it for about 12 years now, using different methods at a bunch of salons, so I hope people looking to get this done will find my review helpful.

After years of getting the Bio-Ionic done, I visited Phillip Michael’s who use Bhave for the first time in and although it cost an arm, leg, butt cheek, my first born, and 5 hours of my time (just kidding - I don't have a child), it was the best straightening job I have ever had. In fact, I still remember it as the best my hair has looked when straightened. Keratin treatment. He books me

I have now gotten the Keratin treatment with bill and he is both efficient but very thorough, ensuring he does a nice job. he definitely knows his product well, is pleasant and fun to talk to, and I think the pricing is comparable to most other salons without being egregious ($425 - I have long hair I buy the shampoo & treatment at $90 for both but they last a year
bill stated it needn't be done for 6 months so twice a year that is $2 aday
Bottom line: I highly recommend bill as he is fabulous but if I had to complain about something, it would be that the smell is like coco fumes of the product. I'm not sure if the chemicals are more concentrated in the product they use but I have never had to do that at other salons.

That being said, my hair looks and feels healthier than after any other Keratin treatment I have done elsewhere. Phillip did the cutting it was crazy and wicked I loved it, I loved the way he left one side a little longer, that allowed me to style my hair differently without blow drying thank you bill and Phillip

I have really long, thick, luxurious hair and unfortunately I'm not a hair stylist despite working within the beauty industry.

I typically go to the larger blow out chains scattered around the city and never stay within my own neighborhood since I typically get blowouts at 7am before the work day begins.

However this past weekend was cold and dreary and I decided to treat myself to a blowout but not have to leave the area.

Where I was going to go was immediately clear: Phillip Michael’s Of Mayfair Hair and Jewelry boutique.

They're in a very convenient location and every time I've passed by the salon seems welcoming, clean and not too crowded giving me the impression that walk-in's have a short waiting time. I love to see that they have a very strict policy one client at a time, meaning you receive 100 per cent of their time, which I always require when having a haircut

I walked in an only two customers were in their chairs getting their hair done.

However, it looked as though it was short staffed since no one was at their little reception desk and I had to swivel my head around like an owl to determine who would be the best person to speak to.

Shortly after I walked in though a young man asked what I would like to have done.

I wanted a simple wash and blow out and was immediately directed to the styling chair, an middle aged man walked over and said hi, I’m Phillip Michael’s I believe you require a blow dry

He and the gentleman who was Phillip son, chatted to me about what blow-dry I required, they played with my hair, and the very uniformed told me what they believed would suit me, I was then taken to the washing station. Bill took his time washing my hair with Moroccan Oil product. Side note: his towel skills are crazy because I have a lot of hair and he managed to get it all wrapped up in a little towel.

The timing was great because bill was ready to do his magic and he went to work. As I was sitting I was brought out a tray of a tea pot china cup saucer little choc bars and water and honestly the best thing happened: he was quiet! I'm sorry but I'm not sorry because although I don't mind having a conversation I much prefer being in my own little world sans conversation while having my hair done. Interestingly enough, towards the middle of the blow out I wasn't noticing anything particularly volume happening with my hair and was preparing myself to be a little disappointed.

As time when by however, I noticed the technique he was using with the brush and carefully pinning everything together and my hair didn't look so lifeless anymore.

It's a shame I didn't take a picture but when I had guests over to my apartment later on that day I received a lot of compliments!

Genuinely loved the blow out and the price tag: $67 was a good price. I'd honestly be happy to go back but only during a weekend when their store hours work with mine.\

Finding a salon and a hairstylist is like dating. You have to play the field a bit, get together a couple of times, weigh your options, and ultimately decide whether they're worth settling down for. It's exhausting, but once you meet the one, there's no turning back.

For those Lismore go-getters still single in the salon department (or for those casual daters finally looking to make things official), we're here to play matchmaker. Hopefully, you're prepared for a long-term, committed relationship, because you're bound to fall in love with Phillip
Phillip Michael's Ladies' Basic dry cut $50 wash cut totally restyle Haircuts, $120 and up; single process, $85 and up; full highlights, $185 and up; gloss, $50 and up; blowout, $69 and up
Phillip doesn't book in anyone around you, you pay hard cash, and you receive his completely 110% attention, Just the 2 of you

"I arrived at Phillip Michael's of Mayfair Hair & Jewellery Boutique at 62 Molesworth Street Lismore 2480
in the midst of a crisis. I had just gone home to Goonellabah and gotten a spur-of-the-moment trim that left my hair looking super thin. Upon walking into Phillip Michael's I was greeted by the most loving dog, called Summer, I knew then that I was at just the place that could fix me. I was show to my seat By Phillip, who immediately understood my stress. he told me, as many skilled stylists have before, that I should lean away from layers, and instead try to get the back of my hair as straight as possible to make it look as full as possible. In a matter of 30 minutes, Phillip solved what felt like all of my problems, adding exactly the kind of subtle face-framing layers to only the front of my hair, and helped me get the back looking extra luscious and full. Bottom line: Never trust a random stylist in Lismore go and see Phillip, and always trust what he say's As he does hold a real PhD
And the consultation is geared at what you dream for your hair to be, he listens and he guides and works with you while he cuts your hair. To me he is a Master Of Master he is 50 in age and you know, when he talks he loves Hair, He loves Creating he loves moulding you into what you wont to be, So go and see him
LOVE U PHILLIP

"I love Phillip Michael's Of Mayfair and my experience whenever I go there! Phillip is the no.1 man and an absolute wonder when welcoming you by name when you walk in, to changing (uncomplaining and always with a smile) your appointment for the umpteenth time around your work commitments. Each and every time I have been to the salon I walk out looking and feeling absolutely fabulous. It's all in the little things - from your stylist knowing which magazines you like to read and ensuring they're there for you each appointment to their remembering how you like your coffee or tea. It's very schmick and professional but with a realistic level of service provided to the clients. You can completely trust your stylist, the wonderful head massager (he's so good you'd like him to forget there's a clock), the girl who gowns you up ... everyone is trained professionally and their politeness and level of customer service is second to none. Well done
Phillip is a master OF CUTTING I am always stunned as every time he creates a cut I walk out with a giant beam of a smile, as every cut is a master piece and you never leave with the same old boring thing, I have had 3cuts by the master, and every cut is a wash and go, where I just wash it and let it air dry and it looks wonderful, full of body, high, volume, and glow,

I instantly felt very welcomed by everyone I saw and each person really gave me the time to explain what they were going to do and make sure at every stage I was comfortable. At one point I needed an iPhone charger and I had everyone rushing around to find one for me. I always find because my hair is really long that some stylists seem to get annoyed because it takes so long and because there is so much of it. It does always leave me feeling that they are rushing me at the end or just decide to get their work experience colleague to finish the style off because they haven’t booked me in for enough time….and then slap on the extra $30+ for the long hair charge! I totally accept that I will have to pay because it takes longer but please still give me the same time as everyone else. Phillip Michael's did not rush me one bit and stayed with me and worked on me the whole time and was just really pleasant and not overwhelming or too snobby which I thought it could turn out to be Phillip examine my hair and talked to me slowly step by step, showing me the damage on my hair and explain how, when, where the damage was, i found it very interesting, when he told me how I slept, and that I lacked iron, and was slightly out of focus on the spine, due to my sleeping pattern. The treatment claims to “instantly restore texture and health, shine and repair damage in just one treatment”. Phillip said it was perfect for damaged and coloured hair and that it should help to rebuild any split ends and boost the volume and the overall appearance of my hair. thenThey started by taking me to the sink and using a stripping based shampoo to take out any product and build up that most hair products can cause. After various different washes, my hair felt horrible, it felt extremely knotty and dry and looked really frizzy, they explained to me that this is what happened when you use a stripping shampoo on your hair and would not last!
They then put the Biolustré treatment on my hair, which they do by splitting my hair into different sections. I was then sat under a big heater for around an hour until my hair set hard like glue and crispy, it almost made a noise as you moved because it was so stiff! Once all my hair was set hair they then washed it off and then shampooed and conditioned my hair through thoroughly.
Phillip did the most incredible blow dry. When i was younger, all I ever wanted was to walk out of salon with the straightest hair possible, whereas now I just love a big bouncy natural waves look. As soon as Phillip started to dry my hair, the colour just looked like it had been re-done, it looked glossy and the most glowing it had been since the first day it was coloured. Also when I touched my hair I was surprised at just how soft it felt; the only time it had felt so good was before had I ever coloured my hair (which was when I was around 12/13)! I was concerned that this treatment might just be like a glamorous hair mask that you could do at home which feels nice for a day and then goes back to how it was before, but with this treatment, it really felt like it had done something to restore the strength of my hair, especially my split ends About 3 weeks to a month following the treatment my hair wasn’t as glossy anymore, but it definitely felt overall still in a better condition. Also, just to note, I made the conscious decision to give my hair a break from using curlers and straighteners to try and get the most out of the treatment which may have made this treatment last longer. My hair a month on still feels happier and healthier and just generally easier to manage and less knotty. Phillip said that the treatment will grow out with your hair as long as you look after it and don’t overly colour or style it This treatment gave my hair the boost it needed, it cost around $95 but I walked out feeling like I had just had a full head of colour done which could have cost me 4x that price. I think it is something good to do maybe once or twice a year to just give some love to your hair, especially after a lot of sun / sea damage.
I would definitely recommend Phillip , they had fantastic customer service and made me feel really relaxed and I would definitely go back in the future for a colour / cut.

I had a consultation with Phillip who while listening to what I was asking for, also questioned things I said to make sure we were both thinking the same thing. he was very experienced and talked me through colours, techniques and end results and was very friendly and welcoming. I managed to get an appointment with him for the next day and again he was very professional, really friendly and easy to chat to. Phillip explained to bill the look I wanted to achieve and bill has done it perfectly!! My highlights now look soft and natural and all the colours blend beautifully and I couldn't be happier! also cut and styled it exactly as I asked and it looks lovely. I have already booked my next appointment and look forward to getting my hair done by an excellent stylist in a lovely salon.

If, like me, your normal salon makes a dreadful mistake and accidentally dyes your hair wicked witch black, there is still hope! I have very long, thick, frizzy, unruly hair and four separate high-end Civic colour specialist salons told me there was nothing I could do without risking a huge reddish Afro if I tried to return it to its normal brown. Then I decided to try one more option and stopped in at Phillip Michael's of Mayfair Hair & Jewellery Boutique at 62 Molesworth Street Lismore 2480 02 6622 6986 two days ago and they completely restored it to its healthy, brown best with a top notch balayage for a flat $200. I brought a ring for $50 So, at the risk of losing my access to instant appointments due to higher customer volume, I must offer the highest praise for and recommend Phillip holds a degree in Hairdressing he holds a Ph.D. and there are other letter after his name, What I loved was when he did my hair, I was the only one he had, as he states you pay that extra bit on costs and I offer you a full 121 service, your time slot is your time slot, Also they have a wonderful Dog called Summer, She comes and greets you, and sits with you while you have your hair done, Also must stated you receive a wonderful English pot of tea with side snacks, thank you bill and Phillip you are both great .
