Just what I needed a blocked drain right before the weekend, rang Jamie, he has done extensive work before & although he couldnt fix the problem he did put down 6 metres of cable looking for the issue. Turns out its tree roots from the neighbours garden and have my water company coming out early Monday morning to rectify the problem. Looks like new pipes or seeing what the problem is.
Cant ever fault Jamies work, he's honest and upfront about costs

My gas cooktop was leaking gas, Romero capped off the gasline in the kitchen and removed the cooktop for me. The callout fee was $77, then $77 per hour with a minimum one hour. As Romero worked so efficiently, he also had time to repair my three leaking outside taps. I'm only taking the time to review as I was impressed with his neatness of work and quiet efficiency. Well done - you have found a great apprentice here.

I really want to be able to give these guys a higher rating... Called Jamie after seeing the good review on here. Jamie came out to quote for us, and then back later because of the issues that occured. Jamie definitely sounds like he knows what he's talking about, and has a friendly, professional demeanour. I think he would do a good job.

Unofrtunately, his apprentice came out to do our jobs. He was very very late. Gas cooktop was installed without issue. Dishwasher was put in, but was not plumbed in correctly or tested - when we tried to run it that night, first the tap wasn't on, and then we ended up with an undersink cupboard full of water. Jamie came out the following week to fix and now it works fine.

The apprentice was also going to replace our toilet. He took the existing one out, and then realised the plumbing needed to be changed to put the new one in.... Which he couldn't do without having Jamie out. So he ended up putting the old one back in, and this then also had to wait another week.

Jamie came out and eventually everything was resolved and is now working fine, but unfortunately I have to downrank because of the experience with the apprentice. He probably shouldn't be doing jobs on his own yet.

Approximate cost: $550

This was an over the phone quote. When my apprentice went to the job, he thought he was putting in a normal toilet with a bottom cistern water inlet , there was no mention of a hidden cistern water point. Being the sensible worker that he is , and he has put in many, many toilets,he rang me when he removed the toilet from the box and found the problem. Yes, unfortunately he had removed the toilet but to his credit he informed the client of this and asked if they would like to get another toilet or install the said toilet. They decided to go with the toilet with the hidden point. The client rang me and told them that I would need to come out and re quote because we would need to cut the plaster and move the water point in the wall, which they where fine with. The existing toilet was put back so they had a toilet to used because they only had one toilet. At no stage was it communicated this was a problem with the toilet install
. I did get a phone call that night that water was coming out from under the sink when they turned on the tap under the sink to the dishwasher. when I got there I found it had nothing to do with the dishwasher install, it was the original tap for the dishwasher was leaking from the spindle due to the spindle seizing. I didn't go back to fix the tap specifically, I went to the job to help install the toilet and make sure everything was fine.
When the job was finished we said our good byes and everyone was happy. I sent the invoice and certificate and that was all I knew until I read this review weeks later.
There is no way I would send my apprentice to something he could not do. I have gone through may apprentices to find the one I have now. I get at least 2 phone calls a week from clients who are so happy with the work he has completed at their property. He is more skilled than may plumbers.
One thing I will say. There was NO COMMUNICATION that there was a problem from the client, it was all good from their end I thought. All they need to do was call me to let me know they were not happy with the install and I would of corrected the situation . If something is not working or we have installed something faulty or the client is not happy ,we will come back at NO COST to the client.

I'm just explaining it from my point of view, and you're entitled to respond.

I had a working dishwasher, and then I had a new dishwasher that didn't work, and a flooded under sink that was leaking water out of the dishwasher connection. I can't imagine you thought we were happy when we called to say "hey, the dishwasher isn't working and our cupboard is flooded".

I don't get the impression that our experience is the norm, but it wasn't a good one for us.

Jamie, was the plumber recommended by Jamie Moore, (Briar Hill Cabinets) to do all the plumbing work on my recent renovation.
It wasnt a small job which Jamie is better known for, but the whole house needed to replumbed. He recommended a storage tank which was better suited for a single person but I opted for an instant unit as I thought it had a better resale value if I ever thought of selling. he also had to fit a double oven, part gas, part electricity, plumbing for the sink & laundry units, plus my older front loader, dishwasher, glass canopy exhaust fan & gas hot plates.
You can imagine my delight coming home home from work one night late and a weekend to see the exhaust canopy & hot plates in when I thought it wasnt going to be done for another week. Also he needed to put in new flashing as I didnt know there was a leak in the roof, also pointed out that my old Bosch instantenous system was leaking & showed me how I can tell in the future. For my being not aware of what to look for I really value his information

In a previous review I put once you have found a decent tradesman you want to tell others about it and I now have his number on my phone just in case of an emergency

Approximate cost: $3500
