I highly recommend Raf from Posicote for any rendering work you need done. He is a perfectionist and takes great pride in the quality of his work, which was absolutely outstanding, and the cost was very competitive considering the quality.

Bill was absolutely brilliant! He came out and measured, and provided a few quotes on different scenarios. He was gave some great advice and assisted with fabric selection as well - they have a huge range. We ended up with a mix of blinds and curtains, to fit in with our budget.
My only critisism would be the assistant we dealt with when we first came to the store was pretty rude. He ignored us when we came in, and was fairly dismissive of us once we finally got his attention (I felt he wasn't taking us seriously as customers).
Price was similar to online equivilants, but with great service to match.
Everything was ready in under a month, and Bill came himself to do the installation. Very friendly, did a great job.
A very personal touch, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Highly recommended - I will definitely go back again.

This review is for Greg Bowden Painting, Surrey Hills VIC

Greg's team came to repaint the interior walls / woodwork of our new property. They were all very friendly and professional. The work did start a little late, which was unfortunate since we had a deadline to move in, but they were great about working around us as we got settled. All up, they were at our property about three weeks.
Greg certainly sets a high standard with his team. We had a few issues early on with the quality of prep work being done on the woodwork (we had specifically asked for extra attention on this as it was a mess of holes, dents and an existing very thick layer of terrible paintwork), however Greg quickly cleared this up and it was redone to a higher standard.
I do think they could have done a better job with the prep, as it was still a bit poor in places, but overall I would say his team were well above standard - it's just we had very high expectations for the finish given the price and our discussions prior to starting. The glass in the windows could have been tidied up better.
There were a few ties when you could tell they had been rushing, with a few paint drips down walls and some uneven painting, however most of this was fixed once it had been pointed out.
Overall though, we are very happy with the work. It's a huge improvement on what we had before!

This review is for Drytron Carpet Dry Cleaning Box Hill & Oakleigh, Box Hill VIC

Peter came to clean our 7y/o white macrosuede couch... A fair challenge! He was punctual, friendly and did a great job at a good price. You can barely see any marks on the couch anymore; it looks almost new. We've had a few different cleaners out to tackle that couch in the past, and Drytron have definitely been the best of the lot. Highly recommended!

This review is for MetroMovers - Furniture Removals, Melbourne VIC

verified email - 15 Oct 2013

We hired MetroMovers to do our pre pack (day prior) and our move.
One of the packers did a really outstanding job, packing things in very tightly with butchers paper - but the second was hopeless - really just dumped everything in boxes roughly, with minimal padding. All our hats and my collection of designer leather handbags were all crammed together in a box without protection. The bags/hats are all horribly bent out of shape and there's a deep, 2 inch scratch on one of the bags. There was also a hammer packed in loose with a collection of fine china teacups.
The movers were quiet fast and efficient also. However, they did not bring any couch covers, mattress covers, portable wardrobes or plasma tv covers as had been requested and confirmed. They still managed pretty well despite this, but as we have a white couch, we eneded up with a number of scuff marks that should have been avoided, and some damaged picture frames (as not enough boxes had been brought for them). TV was fine at least, but it's frustratin as we went with MM because of the higher level of service they offer, and all these things should have been easily avoided. Plus a level of service that we paid for, but did not recieve.
We did report the issues, however it's been two weeks and we haven't heard anything back.
While I think the first packer was excellent, unfortunately the company did not deliver overall, and so I can't recommend them.
Disappointing, after having heard so many good things from others.

This review is for Next Generation Electrical, Cremorne VIC

Toby & his apprentice, Joel, came out to replace our light switches, power points, install motion sensors and wire in our oven.

Both were friendly and professional, and provided good advise and detail on what they were doing. They also fixed a known fault in our wiring that lead to discovery of a faulty safety switch. This had been missed by the previous electrician a few days earlier, who had installed that particular point.

All their work was tested, and tidily done, with good attention to detail. Highly recommended, we would definitely get them back if we needed more work done.

I really want to be able to give these guys a higher rating... Called Jamie after seeing the good review on here. Jamie came out to quote for us, and then back later because of the issues that occured. Jamie definitely sounds like he knows what he's talking about, and has a friendly, professional demeanour. I think he would do a good job.

Unofrtunately, his apprentice came out to do our jobs. He was very very late. Gas cooktop was installed without issue. Dishwasher was put in, but was not plumbed in correctly or tested - when we tried to run it that night, first the tap wasn't on, and then we ended up with an undersink cupboard full of water. Jamie came out the following week to fix and now it works fine.

The apprentice was also going to replace our toilet. He took the existing one out, and then realised the plumbing needed to be changed to put the new one in.... Which he couldn't do without having Jamie out. So he ended up putting the old one back in, and this then also had to wait another week.

Jamie came out and eventually everything was resolved and is now working fine, but unfortunately I have to downrank because of the experience with the apprentice. He probably shouldn't be doing jobs on his own yet.

Michael has recently done a large number of jobs for our new property, including removal and rebricking of a wall A/C, a number of plastering jobs, construction of a rangehood cabinet etc.
He's very friendly but professional, will give you a good breakdown on your quote, and takes pride in his work. I felt confident he was giving us his genuine critical opinion and was a complete life saver having a tradie around who we trusted.
He's by far the most expensive tradie we've had through... but he's worth it! We will definitely have him back if we need more work done in the future.

This review is for Cleaned By Aina, Ashburton VIC

Alex has been cleaning our house for over a year now. He's very polite & friendly, and does a very thorough and detailed job, particularly things like dusting and vacuuming, which I've found other cleaners to be a bit sloppy with. You can always ask him if there is something you'd like extra attention paid to, he's very accomodating. The only thing I would mention is that this wife, Aina, does not have the same high level of detail Alex has - but she's faster, and still does a very good job.

He's absolutely brilliant, and I wouldn't dream of going to anyone else! Highly recommended.
