Portia's is a favourite among my colleagues, so I have had many lunches there. The food is always excellent, albeit on the expensive side.

What sold me on Portia's is that once I mistakenly ordered a dish that wasn't on the menu, but it was cooked for me anyway! The last time I was there with a large group, we were taking photos outside after lunch, and a staff member came outside and offered to take our photos.

Portia's is definitely a good place to visit with a large group.

This tiny restaurant is one of the best in Kingston for an early evening meal. The food quality and level of service is impressive. Even hot towels after a meal - that's service. We noted the 10% discount on takeaway meals from 5-6pm and the tables outside for summer eating. It's a happy place to eat.

Delicious Asian-style dishes. Prices are just a bit high but the food is high quality & authentic. The honey chicken is very tasty and if you love prawns then try any of their prawn dishes...they are all great!

While I have enjoyed many a great night at Portia's, I cannot deny that while the quality of the food is great, the value for money is fairly disappointing. If you have the money to splurge and you are looking for great Asian cuisine, then Portia's is the place to go. However, if it is value for money you are looking for, I would suggest looking elsewhere.
Would recommend the Shantung Lamb and nearly all of the Prawn dishes!

My partner and I really enjoyed dining at Portia's Place. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. Our meals were promptly served and delicious - with quality cuts of beef/chicken.

I will definitely be going back (loved the honey chicken!) and recommend this place if you're looking for a good quality Chinese restaurant.

We attended Portia's Place with a small party of 8, the service was friendly ensuring we had rice in our bowl and drinks in our glass. The entre was extremely tasty and came out in a timely manner, the same can be said for the mains, great flavour and most of the meats were nice and tender, but nothing to say "WOW" about. What let the night down was the Liquor strawberry and ice cream desert. The Strawberry's were pre-cut and soaking in Liquor from more then a few days ago, this left them old, soggy and disgusting to taste. This is why I give Portia's Place an overall of 3/5 at most.

Portia's Place is an amazing experience. Taste, can't be found anywhere else. Kingston now becoming a a good family friendly place. Good parking. The clubs are on the way out and fine
dining back in.

We dropped into this restaurant without a booking, and although they were obviously busy they managed to find us a table. The service was prompt and friendly throughout our meal and the staff manage to be very attentive to every table without crowding the diners. Meals were served amazingly quickly and water was topped up in a timely manner.

The food was just delicious, we dined from the specials menu including a beef claypot dish and sizzling chilli prawns. I noticed that dining in prices are a bit higher than their take away menu prices (I am so thrilled to find out they do take away) - but the dine-in cost is average for the area and the great service mentioned above makes it good value.

Approximate cost: $30

Once again, being a repeat customer I recently dined at Portia's Place. Whilst it is disappointing that Portia insists on 2 sittings, the first starting at 6:30am, I really don't mind as the food and service wins every time. Portia is fabulous - does not forget a face or name and really is truly a fabulous hostess. Highly recommend their specials, but mainstream menu is also excellent. Will continue to return because I am always made welcome and the quality of the food remains consistently high

Is an excellent choice for groups. The banquets provide a fabulous selection of food and allows you to try a little bit of everything. The Shantung Chicken is a must try.
