This review is for Sage Restaurant, Braddon ACT

Every time I dine at Sage I have an amazing experience. The service is wonderful, the atmosphere and surrounds beautiful, and the food is exquisite! Whether you have the degustation menu, or dine a la carte, this restaurant never fails to impress.

I would highly recommend Sage to anyone looking for an amazing dining out experience, especially for special occasions. It is expensive but you get your money's worth in quality and wow factor. I love the unique combinations of food, each plate is so fun to explore.

Tips:
- Book well ahead to make sure you can get a table on the date you want
- Arrive a bit earlier and have a drink with your friends at the Mint Garden Bar which is just by the entrance to Sage - they have a lovely selection of drinks to choose from.

Approximate cost: $60 for 2 course meal (see menu on website)

This review is for Jamie's Italian Canberra, Acton ACT

We have dined here twice now and have had positive experiences both times. The first occasion the waiter was obviously new and very nervous but was very attentive and helpful. The second time, more recently, our waiter was excellent in terms of service timing, knowledge and rapport. Prices are towards the expensive end, but if price concerns you, just look at their menu on the website ahead of time to get a feel for what you might be up for. I am a fan of the fish "plank" and also the trifle for dessert.

Both times we have dined with our baby, who is under a year old. Jamie's Italian has high chairs, a kids menu, and also was great in helping us keep our little one occupied by providing crayons, stickers and a colouring-in sheet. They were very welcoming and accommodating of children which, frankly, helps make a parent's experience just that much nicer :)

Tip: If booking, I'd recommend calling and asking for a booth. If you have a young child, ask if you can have a high chair at the end of the booth. Our daughter likes to wander around so we liked being able to alternate her seating between the high chair and the booth seat with us.

Approximate cost: $20-35

We dropped into this restaurant without a booking, and although they were obviously busy they managed to find us a table. The service was prompt and friendly throughout our meal and the staff manage to be very attentive to every table without crowding the diners. Meals were served amazingly quickly and water was topped up in a timely manner.

The food was just delicious, we dined from the specials menu including a beef claypot dish and sizzling chilli prawns. I noticed that dining in prices are a bit higher than their take away menu prices (I am so thrilled to find out they do take away) - but the dine-in cost is average for the area and the great service mentioned above makes it good value.

Approximate cost: $30

This review is for City Massage, Townsville QLD

I first attended City Massage for remedial massage to get assistance with a persistent injury, upon the recommendation of some fitness professionals. These therapists know their stuff! Using a combination of techniques they have helped me with injury pain, back/neck pain and even sinus pain!

Gentle or firm/tough massage therapy is provided depending on your preferences. Sandra and Tracy are very friendly, helpful and fantastic at what they do. They provide a comfortable and welcoming environment and also give good advice on how to care for injuries or what exercises you should be doing to help heal or prevent future injuries - so the care and service they give goes well beyond the massage appointment.

I also liked that I could make appointments outside of normal working hours and claim rebates with my health fund for particular services - these things make life that little bit easier. The only thing I would note is that you need to park down the road a little bit as on-street parking is limited, but there is still enough around that you'd only have a short walk to the shopfront. Well worth a visit.

This review is for Pilates Studio Townsville, North Ward QLD

Pilates Studio Townsville provides a friendly, comfortable and supportive environment for pilates participants, whether at beginners or advanced levels. I have undertaken mat classes (group sessions) as well as more personalised pilates training sessions using the studio equipment (duet sessions) and found both to be highly enjoyable and beneficial for my core stability, toning and strengthening.

Instructors were mindful of any permanent or temporary injuries I had and recommended alternative exercises where appropriate to avoid further strain, help healing or ease tension. I have really enjoyed classes here and would recommend this studio as a convenient option especially if you live or work in North Ward or Townsville city area.

Dined here for dinner recently and was impressed by the quality of food and the service we received. Our waiter was very attentive, knowledgeable regarding the food and wine on offer, and was happy to make recommendations based on our preferences. As for the food, well we ate too much - entrees and mains were so delicious we just had to try dessert as well!

This was a lovely dining experience, great service and food, I will be returning!

I used this service extensively when living in Townsville and working in the city for shoe repairs, mainly heel and sole replacements and a couple of buckle replacements.

It is a tiny store within a small group of shops coming off Flinders Mall. The owner was friendly and helpful, quality of work fantastic and timely, and prices very reasonable. He also was very honest about when I needed to bid farewell to my favourite pair of shoes that were beyond repair!

For those not in the Townsville area, this store also offers a postal service - you can post the shoes to him, he'll fix them and post them back - fantastic for me if I don't find anyone as good elsewhere!

I had to buy a suit and needed the suit pants and jacket sleeves shortened in a hurry for an unexpected business meeting. A number of the clothing stores in Canberra Centre recommended this business for their prompt service and high quality alterations, just a short walk across the street from the shopping centre.

I wasn't disappointed. All work was done within the space of an afternoon, the staff were straightforward and friendly and I was charged a reasonable price for high quality, reliable work. I will be returning to get further alterations done with them even though I don't live in the city area - their great service is worth the drive in from the suburbs!

This review is for Leanne McMahon Beauty Therapy, Hawthorn East VIC

When I lived in Melbourne I was a regular client at Leanne McMahon beauty therapy because of their convenient location and quality of service.

More recently my mum and I visited Leanne McMahon Beauty Therapy for some pampering before my wedding day. Leanne and her team are very warm and welcoming. They organised our appointments to time nicely with each other and were very helpful and reassuring during our appointments. Leanne made sure that we were both relaxed and that no detail was overlooked in preparation for my wedding the next day, something I very much appreciated!

Friendly helpful staff with a great range of beauty services and advice.

We used this florist for our wedding flowers which were just stunning. We met with the wedding consultant a couple of months prior to our wedding and looked through a number of albums showing her previous work. This made it much easier to understand what the floral arrangements would look like and thus easier to decide and agree upon what we wanted.

Pricing was reasonable for the flowers and delivery. The only limitation we found was on the delivery times. We needed deliveries to two different areas for the morning of the wedding, around the same time. We ended up getting one morning delivery and arranging for someone from the other location to to pick up flowers the night before or very early in the morning.

As this florist is open 24 hours it was nice to have the flexibility of being able to pick up the flowers at any time that suited us prior to the wedding. They gave us good advice on how to care for the flowers that were picked up the night before which was very helpful, and they have a vast array of flowers to choose from which is great. Overall we had a positive experience with this business, their floral arrangements for weddings were fantastic.
