Non existent service!

In October 22 I have purchased a Chisel watch. In a couple of months, the watch needed to be replaced - it was classified as faulty. In November 23 I went back to Prouds, because the watch needed a new battery. I was told, that they don’t do it and I was advised to go elsewhere. I did, the battery was exchanged in matter of minutes. I went today again to Prouds, since the watch stopped working. Before I went, I had the battery checked and it was in perfect condition. I had to wait about 20 minutes, before I was attended to. I was told that the shop can not do anything for me due to the warranty being voided by having the battery replaced by another shop, which they originally advised me to do. I was told, that I should write an email to an address provided by them and that “maybe” I will get some help.
After a lengthy and heated discussion I have thrown the watch on the shop floor and left in disgust, proclaiming that myself and my family will never visit another Proud store.
Keep away - NO SERVICE EXCEPT LIP SERVICE!

No price protection

Bought a Seiko watch from Prouds Mt Ommaney in last week of Dec 2023 - within 10 days they dropped the price of the exact same watch by $70.00. went in the store and spoke to manager who advised She had not heard of "Price Protection" and did not entertain me.
On telling her that most Australian Retailers honour "Price Protection" and refund the difference in price she told she had not seen this in 30 years of retail service which I found very strange. I have dealt with many retailers in Australia and they regularly do this. Buyers beware!

Have been a loyal customer for decades, for Mother’s Day a couple of months ago my present was a pair of white gold diamond stud earrings, they were a problem from the start. The butterfly backs would start sliding off and almost lost an earring on a few occasions. I took them back and they swapped the backs, same thing started to happen, one of the circles at the back of the butterfly back was raised so I tried to push it back down and it fell off completely! Crumbled. Went for a refund and I was told they would need to send it away to see if it’s faulty!? I’m like can’t you see I can’t wear it??? They won’t stay on, I’ve already been in before—- it’s my consumer rights for a refund or exchange within the warranty period. They are behaving illegally and they don’t care. I was then told I am being aggressive? I’m like I haven’t raised my voice nor used any rude language, only expressed my displeasure. I will never go back again. Lost me as a customer. Hope they disappear and that jewellery can once again become quality and good customer service. Not this imported rubbish materials and uneducated woman working in crappy environment for a.hole owner!

Partner bought an engagement ring. He explained how little my hands were and knew from his little finger approx size.
They then sold him a ring that was a size “o” and I’m a size “L” and when I came to resize it they said they wouldn’t do it due to such a large difference. Then said they would try and track down a smaller one. A week later no calls so I call stores myself and find out they don’t even make them small.. their rings come in O or Q as a general rule. So they sell a ring they won’t size and now he can’t get his money back. Total rubbish and left angry !

I had a problem with a ring purchased some time ago, initially I returned the ring for repairs, but again the stone fell out. I contacted the customer feedback and after lengthy emails etc, they agreed to repair again free of charge.

After picking up my much loved ring, I am over the moon, great result, regards Kathryn

My partner bought me a ring from Prouds in Bairnsdale and proposed. I was over the moon, but this was short lived. After getting the ring resized, the diamond case lose and black marks appeared. We took it back to the shop and sent it off to get checked for 2.5 weeks only for it to come back exactly the same. I then got a second opinion from another jeweller who said the band was actually faulty and the black marks were caused by oxidisation and we should get a refund, because we were sold a faulty produce. Obviously the ring has sentimental value to us so we decided to get a custom remake of the same ring and give prouds one final chance to rectify the problem. I had to hand my ring back and was informed that it could take up to 4 weeks, which wasn’t ideal but at least it would be ready in time for my mothers visit from the U.K. for our engagement party. However, with one week to go I hadn’t heard anything so I have called the store and spoken with a lady at head office, and have received awful communication from them all. They are now saying they quoted 6 weeks, which is a lie. So I am not sure if I will even get the ring back in time and they said they will call back in 2 days with an update - why 2 days?! All in all just terrible terrible customer service and communication. I will be taking this matter further. They should be held accountable for what they have done.

Terrible customer service. My boyfriend wanted to buy me something nice for Christmas but unfortunately I wear minimal jewellery and it wasn’t to my taste, which I’m sure happens all the time at the Christmas period. He said I could take it back but this company refuse to refund in any circumstance. He tried to return it two weeks after he purchased it. My boyfriend was unaware of their no refund policy, as it is only clear on the receipt after purchase. He even expressed his uncertainty of his purchase to the cashier and she did not make him aware of this policy. Now I am without a Xmas present and he is out of pocket by $200.

Wow, ungrateful. Your without a xmas present now because you rejected your boyfriends present due to first world problems. Boo Hoo. You sound like a spoilt and ungrateful little brat. Go cash in on all your gifts, he spent 200 bucks on you and you whine about it and complain you don't have a present because you hated his present. Wow. Just wow.
