My family have been coming to Ripponlea Fish Supply most Friday nights since I was a little girl. I now bring my own children. It's a traditional, lively family business who look after all their customers. It's the best Greek fish n chips in Melbourne. And they have the freshest seafood.
I have been using this store for years. The fish is always fresh and in excellent variety. Had a couple of hiccups with the service but it was rectified by the owner with sincere apologies and right product provided. Genuine family business. I am looking forward to continue using this shop.
Price of fish and chips varies too much one day it is 15 dollars (for two) next time it is 18 dollars. Don't like the prices at our whim mentality.
Yeah I find the fish and chips can vary, especially if you vary your order or ask for larger pieces of fish outside the norm.
There is no whim. There are set prices. Unless you asked for a larger fish or more or less chip serving size.
The best place to buy fresh fish outside of a fish-market! They also do great fish 'n chips (the fish is grilled as you watch and you get to choose from a variety of fish) and burgers. The family who run the business are just fantastic and will always find you exactly the right fish for a wonderful dinner! Highly recommended!!
