This review is for Tucker Road Bentleigh Primary School, Bentleigh VIC

Since the principal changed in late 2014 the school went completely downhill. Half the teaching staff left, the remaining are either disgruntled and thinking of leaving or just waiting a few years before retirement. Parents who have been with the school for more than a decade seriously considering moving their kids to other schools. Some have hired tutors since the teaching level dropped significantly. Real shame as the school used to be excellent.

Trevor fixed my fence the next day I called him. High quality, proper materials, knowledge of standards and regulations. I wish I knew this business earlier.

Can't recommend these guys enough! Service, job quality, communication - everything is exceptional. Had a garage door motor replaced in no time. Quality job, good new motor, 7Y warranty + 2 remotes. Have them on my speed dial now. Very highly recommended.

Andre did several works for us including rendering the entire house and a brick fence. The quality of work is superb, quotes are always very competitive. Very hard working and honest tradesman. Very highly recommended.

Jerome came on Sunday(!) and fixed three evaporative cooling grills and a sliding door. He is extremely accurate, punctual, knows what he is doing, does not rush but does not waste time either. Very happy.

Small but absolutely lovely centre which opened in September 2014. We had lots of fun there despite its modest size. Priced slightly cheaper than bigger centres and also offer student prices. Will be back.

This review is for Xtreme Air - Trampoline Park Melbourne, Keysborough VIC

A very spacious, well-maintained and clean jumping centre. Price is comparable with similar venues across Melbourne. Drawbacks: they insist on purchasing their own safety socks, socks from other jumping centres are not allowed. The major disappointment however was the fact that the whole thing is run as one big daycare centre: you cannot move freely between the areas (i.e. foam pit, dodgeball, etc). You are supposed to stay in one area for 15 min (whether you like it or not) and move around with the rest of your "group" under the supervision of a staff member. You can't play chasey, although everything around you is soft and springy and you can't harm yourself even if you tried, you can't push your friend into the foam pit, in other words you can't have real fun. The above experience happened during summer holidays. Had a two-hour entry but left earlier. Won't be coming back.

Approximate cost: $15-$18/1h

I was on the lookout for a mechanic for my regular car service; came across good reviews for these guys and gave it a go. They were very friendly on the phone, they picked up my car from my work place (luckily I work in the neighbouring suburb) called me halfway through to give a status update and brought the car back 30 min before the original estimate. The service book had a detailed entry of the work done, full invoice and receipt attached (I paid via phone exactly the same amount I was quoted). The car also got a light wash. Brilliant service!

This review is for Sassafras Cafe, Sassafras VIC

verified email - 01 May 2014

We stopped for lunch at the Sassafras Cafe. It's a no-frills small cafe. Our order included burgers and pies. Burgers were of decent size and good. The burgundy pie was nice but Moroccan pie was too bland with some chewy bits occurring in the meat. This was followed by coffee which was nice. Service was OK: the girl who served us forgot to mention that pies require additional preparation time so we ended up waiting for 20+ min for the order to arrive. The cafe is apparently popular for its Devonshire tea, and the scones did look great but the price is the same as for some mains, so we did not order.

Approximate cost: $15
