Only wish i had looked at review sites before purchasing with Rivers online. Will not deliver and won't respond to communications other than sending automated emails. They are very quick to take your money. Ordered end of August and its now December. Definitely avoid

They take your money but don't have the item in stock and blame lockdown. The truth is if they don't have the stock and if they are unable to deliver they shouldn't be taking people's orders. I ordered on the 18th September and still haven't got it. they have a monopoly as they have taken over basically every store, crossroads, millers, noni B, Katies, Be Me. They never respond and I was promised 2 wks ago that my order would be shipped immediately! They should be investigated by the ACCC.

I made 2 order packs 2 month ago. Some items never came, some did but after 6 weeks. 1 of my 6 items order never been sent to me again....They keep selling stuff out of stock, delay orders, send it to a wrong address, not able to fix their mistakes... It was clearly the worst online shopping experience I ever had! Never again...

Just be aware that the prices on the web store are not the same as instore.

E.g. Men's mid calf Shagga slipper boots $20 online, $23 instore.

Since COVID the prices have risen quite a bit, and therefore the sale discounts are lower.
E.g. the above slippers I've bought a few times and I used to pay $12 on sale, then it went to $14, then $16, and now it's $23.

A very similar style slipper boot is $15 at Kmart, so it's just profit taking, and trying to recoup some money due to the lock downs.

I ordered six polo shirts from Rivers Online on 12th May. The first issue came when I was trying to pay for my goods. I entered my credit card information and hit the button finalise the purchase, and I saw a spinning circle for a couple of minutes that then timed out with an error message. So I tried again and the same thing happened. A third attempt did work, and I was told that my order had been accepted. I then received an email confirming my order and payment details.

At the end of the month, when checking my credit card statement, I realised that I had been charged three time by Rivers (who are actually listed as Noni B on the credit card statement.) What must have happened is that when I clicked the button to place my order on the first two attempts, the charge was made to my card but the actual order was not generated. I contacted my bank and they are disputing the two additional charges with Rivers.

After placing the order, I waited for about ten days and still had not received confirmation that the items had been dispatched. So I contacted Rivers who sent an email reply saying that there had been a delay. I waited another week with still no news. After 25 days with no news I asked them for a refund, and received no reply. Then, exactly one month after I placed my order, I received some of my goods from Rivers. They never sent an email to say my shirts had been dispatched, I just received a parcel. The problem was that only four of the six polo shirts had been shipped. Of those four, one of them had a hole in the back. I haven't bothered reporting this to Rivers as they are just too difficult to deal with.

I contacted Rivers to ask what had happened to the other two shirts. They told me that there was a delay in shipping the other two. Another week went by and I asked them to either send me the remaining two shirts or refund me. Rivers replied saying that they would investigate, and promised to get back to me within "48-72 hours." That was nine days ago and I still have not heard anything from them.

Two days ago I sent them another email stating that I had not heard back from them despite their promise to contact me within 48-72 hours. I asked them to give me a confirmed shipping date within 24 hours, or process a refund for the two missing shirts. I have not received any reply at all from Rivers.

My order was placed more than six weeks ago and is still not completed. Rivers themselves have decided to ignore me in the hope that I will grow tired of asking and just write the missing shirts off. They have no interest in either delivering them or refunding me. They have simply stolen my money.

I have been a online customer and a Rivers member. Recently placed a order for a Hoodie and 2 mins after making the purchased i wanted to change size and in fact sent a email asking for help. No response after 3 days even after receiving a email stating this matter is now moved to high priority. After many calls managed to speak to Customer support and explained my problem and was told sorry there is no refund or change of mind. I was also told the order hadn't been processed but they still could not ammend the order. Customer support seemed to be from a foreign call centre with no understanding for Customer Service. If this is how Rivers do business then i am sorry to say you lost me has your customer. I would urge anyone placing online orders with this mob please think twice

Jessicaa722 is so right about Rivers who in 2020 are behaving in an incredibly shonky way towards online customers by accepting orders that they can't fulfill for months on end, repeatedly failing to respond to enquiries by worried customers about their orders, ignoring requests for refunds and fobbing many people off with the same old story that Rivers is "unable to locate" their order and will be contacting their warehouse/getting back to you within 3 days - all complete and utter bs! I have been waiting two months now to receive my order and in that time Rivers has consistently turned a deaf ear to my enquiries and refused to enter into any sort of conversation with me at all. It's so very depressing and unethical, and I feel as though I'm the victim of some sort of scam being perpetrated by unscrupulous, dishonest traders who are ripping off many Australian consumers like myself in a manner that is shocking and seems almost malevolent. There are many other reviews on the web saying the same thing - do NOT do business with them!

PLEASE read the reviews of this company at productreview.com before you entrust your money to them. They may have been reliable in the past. Not now. Terrible shopping experience.
