My son & daughter and I went here yesterday for mothers day cake and coffee. We have been here on several other ocassions and have found the food and service very good. The cakes are out of this world and so fresh. Try the bruschetta very nice but not enough of it. Service is good we hardly had to wait and the staff there are always lovely. Will go back for sure.

My girlfriends and I went here for lunch last Thursday after taking a look at their extensive menu board. My friends chose from the Asian menu, and I chose a minestrone soup. My friends were very happy with their Asian meals, and I received a generous serving mediocre minestrone soup, with two quite large pieces of toast bread and lots of butter. The soup was not the best, but I believe for the price ($8.00) I received value for money, and I will be visiting here again, simply for the large servings and reasonable prices. However, I may try from the Asian menu next time, as my friends loved their dishes. Also, their service is fantastic. Very pleasant experience. Oh, and it's also located at the Knox Ozone, therefore there is a great atmosphere, especially if you sit outside :-)

I really enjoy this restaurant. Service can be hit and miss but the location is good, the menu is well price-pointed (as little as $15 per main) and the food is mostly good. We've only had one dish we weren't too satisfied with and a few occasions of them running out of a large variety of options. Honey chicken is my fave and at $15.90 you can't go wrong.

Secret Recipe is a Malaysian chain restaurant with cakes, coffee and light lunches. They are pretty average in Malaysia but great in its cakes. However they opened 2 branches in Melbourne- one in Knox S/C and one in Melbourne Central.
Food was over priced, service was terrible and it took them nearly 20 mins to produce a cup of latte.

Not recommended. There are better places for coffee and cakes with cheaper price.

Secret Recipe is a restaurant and cafe that specializes in fusion Asian and Western cuisine. They also have a great assortment of cakes that are usually displayed right out front, which makes it difficult to ignore sometimes.

I have had the Catch of the Day and the Chicken Parma on two separate, but recent occasions. They were both excellent, the Catch of the Day was a standout, although I'm sure they might change it from time to time. They also advertise their chicken parma in-house as a larger portion, and it sure was filling! I also had one of their curries a while back, which was also great.

The wait staff look and act very professional, which enhanced the overall experience. Overall, very good.

These guys do excellent food, and VERY good cakes. I am always pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the quantities, and the price. Also, the cakes are to die for! Very yummy indeed, including my favourite which is the White Chocolate Macadamia. The only criticism is that the service is regularly slow, and I've seen many people get a bit fed-up by that, however it's usually always friendly. Have been back, and will go back, many times in the future.

Approximate cost: $16
