Shiki is in the Entertainment Book so we decided to go here. It was probably the most unique eating experience I have experienced in Adelaide. Each table has their own chef cooking in front of them. We happened to have a really talkative and funny chef who made the dinner experienced really enjoyable. The food is splendid and the service is great. The only downside is that given that it is a fine dining restaurant, the price is quite expensive and portions are not particularly large. However, the experience is taste is definitely worth it.

Japanese food prepared traditionally on the hot plate, with great showmanship. Modern fresh dishes served at the "bar" that wraps around the hotplate. Generally this is great, unless you are seated next to someone who talks extremely loudly. In fact, sometimes you have a great conversation with those seated with you. Excellent service, very pricey, but this is a special occasion restaurant.

A unique experience. Very enjoyable sitting at the 'communal' table with the chef cooking and serving in front of you. It was nice that after the main we could retreat to a private, cozy table for 2.

Located inside Hyatt Regency, the restaurant is only opened for dinner and tends to be quite pricey. We had teppanyaki when we dined in and it was amazing. Everything tasted really fresh and the flavouring which was simply soy sauce, butter and bit of salt and pepper was surprisingly good. I've been wanting to go back since that one time! Definitely worth one visit even though it's pricey.
