They do for some decent food.
We were there for NYE and the place was packed. No booking, but there was a spare table for 4. We were 6, so they really quickly brought out another table to do a makeshift table of 6.
That's good service.
Food was reasonable.
It can take awhile for the food you want to arrive, or come out if it is fresh ordered. But Star House has some of the best yum cha in Adelaide, for my money. Of course, I have never been to Hong Kong, and so my palate is probably uneducated, but if you like Adelaide style Yum Cha, you will love Star House!
The food is alright, nothing compared to authentic yum cha back in Hong Kong, but it's one of the better places for some yummy chinese food. It is open for yum cha in the mornings, and at night it is open for other Chinese foods. The atmosphere is really nice, usually busy so you won't feel too lonely. Also the interior was renovated very nicely!
For Adelaide, this is one of the better ones but can't compare to those you find around Syd or Melb Chinatown. Is it worth going again? Yes if you're living in Adelaide. No if you're a tourist.
I agree completely! Not worth going to if you are a tourist, not many yum cha places in Adelaide worth going to, but I suppose Ding Hao is good!
Excellent yum cha. I went there three times in the last three months and still enjoyed their food. The staff there are friendly. It has a classy feel to the restaurant. The pricing is slightly higher than some of the other asian restaurants but the quality is worth it.
