I love these guys. sushi is always delicious and service is amazing. its always clean also . i would recommend this place to go with friends or family .
Cool concept and makes sushi eating way more fun. Excellent menu also although I generally just go for salmon and tuna based roll stuff. I have also tried some vegetarian options and I thought they performed ok. Staff work hard to keep the food fresh although I'm still mindfull if things have been going round and round as to their freshness. You can't beat the value though. The menu is extensive and it's quite fun if you take a group. I've gone solo and whilst still fun it's way better with a group.
Coming from New Zealand we had never seen this concept of a conveyor belt bringing food to you before so our family tried it out for our son's birthday and we've been back several times since. I love their hot calamari rings with the very strong tasting mayonnaise. So fresh and yummy. This is always the first thing I head for and then get some sushi and other items. Easy to see how much you are spending by adding up the plates and matching them to the coloured chart on the wall. Just for fun we like to stack our plates up really high and take photos of them. Everybody goes away happy. The service is good and the food is yummy. Handy to home and easy parking being at the main shopping centre on the outside.
It is a very cool idea having the conveyor belt, it's definitely a bit of fun.
My only concern with these establishments is that once the originally hot food has been 'round the world' twice or more it must be way below optimal (even legal) serving temperature. I sometimes try to sit nearest the kitchen and take the hot dishes as soon as they are placed on the train. Otherwise they are a great idea, especially if you can use the $3 shopper dockets.
Finally a sushi train in the area that I can trust!!! This new franchise of Sushi Train that has opened on Finucane Road @ Capalaba is huge, modern and very appealing.
I tried it out for the first time with my uber fussy friend, she fell in love, and now no other sushi train compares to this one. I found that the serving sizes of the sushi here are bigger, and all of the food is so fresh and delicious. This may be due to the fact that they have only recently opened up shop, but it has impressed my friend and I greatly!!!
The customer service is fast, attentive and polite!
The only down side, is that some of the dishes are more expensive than other stores in the Sushi Train franchise, BUT they make up for it in food quality!!!
Yummy, fresh Sushi!!! I will definitely be going back for more, and more, and more, and more!!! :)
