Seems like most refer to the lunch buffet without ambiance or table cloths. We decided a week in advance to celebrate the birthday at 360 Dining & went so far as to attempt a pre-order reservation from the PDF online menu without success. But before we left the 4th floor on the way up, the incident of poorly orchestrated reception resulted in a very unpleasant exchange with a small group separated from their main group. The staff directing elevator traffic seemed exceptionally overdressed & under skilled to conduct an organized assent. Okay, we shrugged it off as another fly in the ointment typically encountered while striving to remain unscathed or thwarted. Unfortunately, the smear of the window washers failed to bolster our hopes. While placing our diner order, remembering exorbitant prices & menu options of the aforementioned PDF menus, we immediately notice a price increase of $10 each! We were handed the Friday Menu on Thursday. The insulting disregard of the reservation pre-order resonated with stark recognition of much more extra effort needed to remain undaunted. The next reminder came moments later when we realized our 2 hour allotted time was already 20 minutes old.
The 'gourmet' appearance of sparse food on a plate decorated with swirls of eyewash failed to convey the richness of the Duck & Angus. The fries with rosemary salt & buttered seasonal greens rounded out the meal but with less than an hour to ingest, we were presented with the 'not a take-away' policy when asking for a container. Sure, desert was fine with an added sample fun size brownie served on a chocolate swirl of eyewash "Happy Birthday" but certainly it will never happen again at the Sydney Tower! The good news is the bill was 'only' $218 for two but that's alot of fish n chips, huh?! Oh well...should we mention that it took 2 efforts on line & six days to make the reservation?

Approximate cost: $much too much

That is really disappointing that you had such a terrible experience! I've been to this restaurant several times and have never had such bad service or food quality.

I agree, totally unsatisfactory service and wait times. I feel terrible for you, what a disappointing experience, thanks for sharing.

Pretty exciting place, lots of choice went back up for 3 rounds of food. Loved the creamy pasta and the prawns, overall an impressive buffet. Could only say positive things perfect birthday spot.

Approximate cost: $69.50

We went here for my husbands birthday. The price is a little high but you get gourmet all you can eat food. Not too good if you have a fussy child as mine only ate bread and ice cream for the $25 cost for him. all in all a great selection in hot food, fancy desserts but the salad bar could have done with a few more choices.

Approximate cost: $69.00

Sometimes steep price can be justified with quality and service.

I had there my Birthday dinner. The experience was nice and the view was beautiful.
Staff were very friendly and professional. I have to say that I have expected bit better food for this fine dining restaurant.

I wish this place could be world renowned. The views are spectacular. I was taken for my delayed 60th and what a disappointment for the 3 of us. We had a sat lunch booking so we could enjoy the beautiful day. I found the furnishing old, the food 3 star at best mainly done by less than able cooks who gave a budget buffett. Seafood was the most disappointing. If you looked at the floor particularly the steps they were dirty. Our service by a south american lady was second to none upon greeting us. I will not recommend this place and hope sincerely that someone with class gets a hold of the lease and gives it the name it deserves. In saying this, I am saying that the view was worth the $50 just to gaze but the food and ambience inside left a lot to be desired while not being so poor that you could not eat.

The food was delicious but the waiting time very very long. We waited an hour and a half - luckily us ladies got some time to shop around but after the small round, we were impatient! The food was very nice but a small range, the view made up for that. The atmosphere was amazing- everyone was awed by the beautiful lights of the city. The food came in small portions and I was just full by the end of the night. A great experience that may be costly but should definitely be tried.

With friends and family, we  celebrated the 60th birthday of my father in law. We could have gone for the ala carte restaurant but found the menu choice for the Buffet much more suitable. We had two tables by the windows 18 of us in all and fortunate that it was a clear a lovely day, so the views were spectacular. I wasn't expecting the food to be brilliant we really just wanted to eat and celebrate up in the tower, but I was pleasantly surprised, the food, selection, choices were much better than expected and all looked fresh and served hot. There's an excellent selection cold meats and some delicious deserts.
We had a lovely long lunch, and sipping on some excellent wines whilst sitting comfortably watching the city below bustle on, and the grand views ever changing with the slow revolve of the restaurant. The service is efficient at first  especially with the first drinks, but it dwindled and every other bottle I wanted I had to seek out a staff member or go to the bar. My sense is that they are so used to serving quick bus tour groups that it's a quick in eat and forget, they need to realize not one service type suits all groups, there are Australian Sydneysiders that will celebrate a function and require on going service. This of course may not be an issue  for couples or smaller groups of four or six.
Overall a lovely day excellent food and fantastic views. Great photo opportunities.

Approximate cost: $37.50

Awesome food.. Mouth watering deserts.. Top location with beautiful viw of Sydney city.. The best part of the restaurant is that it is revolving , giving a complete 360 degree view of city..

This restaurant is pretty typical for a buffet and nowhere near as great as I'd expected. It's fine for large groups of people but is a bit expensive.

OK atmosphere A little noisy at times. Great for groups although service could be better. I would recommend this restaurant for the view alone.
