I ordered from Target Online for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The ordering process was very easy and I was happy to find that they were able to deliver to my PO Box as some online retailers will not. The package arrived 2-3 days later. I was really surprised to find that if the item didn't fit that Target Online offer a free return service. You simply pop your item back into the bag, seal it up and stick the return sticker back on the front. They also included a $5 off voucher if I spend over $50 on my next order.

I needed some gift cards as gifts as I have a new baby and wasn't confident going out by myself, and I wasn't able to make my purchase as they only deliver to home addresses, but I dont have a mail box at home, we use a PO box. I was very disappointed I wasnt able to make my purchase.

A busy Target store in the heart of Melbourne, plenty of goods, racks are always full to over flowing, What the store lacks is people to help you, if you are trying on items, and have the wrong size you have to re dress yourself and go out into thw store to get the larger or smaller size.

I found this service to be similar to others (Big W) not really a big WOW. The range is only limited at this stage much like other retailers, and it states will be expanded in due time. It is evident that these larger big box general retailers need to have an online presence to compete in the online marketplace. The website was very easy to navigate and was very well designed. The reason that I needed to use this service was purely due to the fact that I visited my local Target store and received zero customer service, the only way I could get my hands on this baby product item was to order it online.

The reason for my 2 star rating for service is because of the lack of service from the stores, hence the justification for the online store. Secondly due to the lack of clear correspondence from the online customer service team in regards to order received, delivery confirmation etc. Once you place an order there was no automatic email to state, they had received the order. It stated that you would receive an email with this information within 48 hours, I had to manually request this. Secondly they provided me with the consignment note in which the parcel would be delivered, only to find the consignment note to be invalid. I later found out that this was due to how Australia Post. The parcel was ordered on the Tuesday and I got on the next Monday. It was in stock and available, not sure why it takes over 3 days to travel from Melbourne to Adelaide. I can order items from overseas and it arrives quicker.
Online stores such as Target need to work on their customer service and delivery times in order to compete with other international and national online retailers.
