Love this place, best bread, rolls, sausage rolls, pies and cakes.
Have to say in going here for years we still feel anonymous.
Staff have never broken through that us/them barrier and into friendliness.
Still maybe you can't have everything.
we walked to the yummy bakery each day while stranded at wrest point during the flight interruptions a few years back and of all the bakeries visited around australia this happens to be up there with the best!!!
I would like to endorse your review: this is my local bakery, directly opposite Coles supermarket, and they have a wonderful range of interesting breads and other baked goods. They are very helpful explaining their products,too.
The bread rolls are light and flaky, cakes rich and moist, I had the best danish I've ever eaten there. Honestly if all German baked goods are that good I may end up moving to Germany.
The store itself impresses me by being well lit and open.
Just across the road from Coles so well worth popping in after your weekly shopping.

Ever since my family found this lovely German bakery it's been a must go to when in the area. Having quite a large sweet tooth, this is definitely my favourite bakery. Plus the size of some of the items is incredible for what they cost. Highly recommended

This is a lovely little bakery in sandy bay, i enjoy going there to get some nice little sweet treats and i also really like the bread they have there its very tasty and fresh too!
These guys make the best rye bread in Tassie and so many varieties - we drive 5 hours each way to buy our bread...Coming from Denmark we find it hard to get good bread and danishes...
This is a rare find - a real German bakery in Hobart. They do wonderful brezels and bread, but my favourite is the poppy seed scrolls (snails) and bread. Unfortunately I think they only make those now on Saturdays.
Always popular and they can sell out of things quickly.
YUMMY! The food is one of a kind in the sate, and I've tried many Brezels over Australia and none compare to theirs! It's relaxing, and you haven't tried a good sausage roll until you've visited!
These guys make Hobart's best raspberry danishes - more fruit on them than you could imagine. Their bretzels (pretzel shaped bread covered in an egg glaze and dredged with salt) are just to die for. The service though - it's interesting to say the least. I've walked in on multiple arguments between staff members, some out the back and some at the counter. I've never been smiled at I don't think either. But the food is amazing, and I can't recommend it highly enough (just don't eat in!)

I know the owners of this business fairly well, and am pleased with the positive feedback you have given. They literally have dedicated their lives to this backery, and I don't know how they keep up with it all, quite honestly - lovely people.
But please, they work so hard and I would think they would prefer it it you left their personal issues off the world wide web.
