We two pubs in town we felt we had to try both. Personally, I preferred the Robe Hotel but the Caledonian was quite nice. Found it to be rather expensive and the servings not so generous. The salt and pepper squid was nice, as was the chicken skewers, my husband enjoyed his steak. Found the service was extremely slow, especially considering there was barely anyone there. One dining experience here was enough for us.

A old pub with that real English Feel. Open Fires, a few smaller rooms and a larger one and beer garden. Friendly staff, and good , tasting food. Plenty on menu and a few daily specials. Right in the middle of main street.

I love a good pub. They have a nice beer garden and they offer a good range on tap and in the fridge. Who doesn't like a good pub meal. The menu is huge and changes with the season. Of course they are connected with the fresh seafood in the area and do well with the ingredients.

Approximate cost: $avg

A brilliant option in this holiday town. The restaurant does great food, and the bar menu is reassuringly comforting after a cold winters day. Great open fire for winter, gorgeous beer garden in summer. We went back twice in three days we loved it so much!

Approximate cost: $25
