The Cowrie

Have been to The Cowrie once, can't wait to go again.

Excellent service, very attentive without being overbearing. Food is sensational and the view is fantastic. It is quite pricey but definately worth treating yourself.

I agree with other reviewers it is expensive but the views are to die for. Had lunch there on a sparkling blue January day and any issues with price or anything probably evaporated in the outlook. Having said that food was good without being sensational but would go back just due to the service and overall experience.

The food was okay but no wow factor. It is pricy though. But the service and the view are great. The other drawback is terrible parking along the busy road.

This is an exquisite dining experience and although not cheap it is well worth the money. The ambience is delightful. So serene. A beautifully varied menu that you wouldn't see at too many places. I went with Ocean trout and it was totally awesome. It's an absolute treat to go there. They also have a free shuttle bus.

I had heard such great things about this restaurant but when I went there the illusions were shattered. I ordered food that I believed was being made from scratch only to discover that all of the sauces, marinades and accompaniments to the entree and main meals were poured straight out of a bottle. And here I was about to pay top dollar for the pleasure of eating something I could of bought at Coles. Very very bad judgement from the owners of this restaurant.
