Have been a few times since I last reviewed this cafe, my girlfriend is constantly talking about it, so how could I resist after having dinner with a few friends nearby, we dropped in for dessert. You name it and I will almost guarantee it is on the menu. A great atmosphere, nice staff and delicious desserts.

After having a late night out in the city with friends we decided to stop here for a coffee but ended up sharing a sundae with my girlfriend, whilst our friends tried the apple pie and waffles. The desserts looked spectacular and have to say tasted just as good as they looked. The menu had so much to choose from, it was difficult, very reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly happy people with quick service.

Very relaxing atmosphere, will be returning.

Approximate cost: $12

Everybody always talks about The Elephant Walk and how great it is, so I decided to give it a try last night.
I was ready to have to wait in the cold but luckily enough we were there at the right time and got a table straight away. It is a very different setting and I can see where they are going with it. The worst part was that being a slightly larger girl it was really hard to get into the chair as the tables and chairs are so squished. But I loved the atmosphere, it was really relaxing.

I was with two other people and between us we ordered green tea, cappuccino and a hot chocolate. For dessert we ordered sticky date pudding, chocolate fudge pudding and peanut and chocolate waffle.

Our drinks arrived first and my hot chocolate wasn't very nice at all, I was quite disappointed. I could barely taste the chocolate and there is nothing worsts than a bland hot chocolate. My companions with me had the other drinks, the green tea was normal but the cappuccino was very bitter.

Desserts OMG!!! I loved my peanut and chocolate waffle, it was divine and made up for the bland hot chocolate. I was so happy

The chocolate fudge pudding was very rich and could have done with some more sauce and the sticky date was light and enjoyable.

Overall, it was a great experience and I would go back and try some of the cold drinks and definitely get another waffle

Approximate cost: $53.30

This is by far my favourite dessert destination in Adelaide. On Melbourne Street in North Adelaide, it's an experience that is worth the lining up due to the fact that you can't book, even in winter! The food choices are always delicious and definitely always worth the price.

Approximate cost: $10-$20

If you want to save yourself some money, then make yourself a hot drink grab and nice bit of dessert, then light a single tea light and turn off all the lights in the house a sit down and have a nice conversation. I think the idea of the Elephant Walk is excellent, the prices and the quality of food are not. Overpriced and a bit snobby.

I may recommend this place to my friend and try it together.

I was taken here by a friend and had not previously heard of it. It is a very cute place to have a little cosy outing with a very delectable treats to top it all off. Will be visiting again when time permits, but have recommended it to many people who live in the area. Not always a place to lounge around as it seems quite busy but for the novelty factor I would recommend visiting at least once.

Approximate cost: $15

This place is an adelaide icon! If you're visiting from interstate, or have never been to the Elephant walk, you have to take a trip to North Adelaide to eat dessert at this gorgeous cafe gem.

The food, desserts only, is a little generic - I love their banana splits and waffles. The menu hasn't changed since forever, and could probably do with a bit of a revamp.

But the place is so unique. There are cosy little booths, low lighting, with lamps dotted everywhere and a kind of bohemian bordello vibe. It's very intimate and pretty! A great place to go with a date.

Great place, very cozy. I was only introduced to the elephant walk by a friend a few years ago and have since returned many times. The only complaint i have is that there is always a line up.

Approximate cost: $20.00

Went there with a group of friends, it was a great atmosphere, decent food, however a little pricey but still all right. We go there for special occasions.
