This review is for Woodside Providore, Woodside SA

We have regularly ventured to Woodside specifically to have a nice lunch at the providore. I always enjoy the venison burger and coffee is good. There's sometimes a wait for a table, but it's always worth a wait. A good stop for food when doing a round of the wineries.

We went for a friend's birthday. The atmosphere was electric and there was ongoing entertainment through the night ranging from belly dancers to amazing feats in limbo. The music was really good, very difficult to resist a dance. Beers were quite pricey, along with the tapas, but the service was excellent. Good place to go if you're in a party mood.

Well when I was told about Udaberri I was keen to check it out. It took 3-4 walks past it to realise we had found it. (You will know what I mean if you go). I'm a beer lover and thoroughly enjoyed the selection of local Lobethal Bierhaus on tap. Didn't venture upstairs so have an excuse to return.

Definitely the best coffee I've had in Adelaide. It was truly exceptional. If you drink coffee every day then get one that makes you think 'wow that's how it's suppose to taste'. There's a really good selection of snacks and light meals as well.

This review is for Amalfie's Pizza Restaurant, Adelaide SA

I love my pizzas, and I mean love them. When a friend recommended this
place as the best in Adelaide we were there pretty quick. The restaurant is pretty cramped and loud, there's a lot going on. Unfortunately the pizzas just didn't live up to the hype. The toppings were a bit sloppy and over complicated. I wasn't at all impressed. The waiting staff seemed rushed and you were expected to order at the drop of the hat. I won't be going back.

Two reviews in one. The first is just for the upstairs wine bar area. If you fancy a nice relaxing glass of wine in a room were you can hold a decent conversation this place is for you. A really nice selection of wine and great ambiance.
The restaurant is equally as pleasant, unfortunately the quality of the food is a let down. The tapas serves were good, but they just lacked flavour and I distinctly remember questioning the quality of lamb meat used in one of the dishes.
So, I recommend going for a drink, but book somewhere else for dinner!

This review is for Assagio, Hyde Park SA

We met friends at the restaurant for dinner. The menu was heavily seafood based, but I managed to find something that suited my taste. The way entrees were served was done in a way to encourage people to share and try a bit of everything, almost like tapas, which was good. I got the chorizo pasta for main course and wasn't disappointed, lovely fresh pasta. That said it just didn't have that wow factor for me. It was quite pricey, so won't be going back in a rush.

Well the restaurant setting is probably one of the finest in Adelaide, really tastefully decorated and great ambiance. Before I get to the food I will mention the service, the waiting staff were absolutely sensational, every need was covered they were confident speaking about all aspects of the menu and just made you feel at ease and welcome in the restaurant. The food was good, but didn't match the level the staff and ambiance sets. They do offer quite a lot of specials, so look out for one and give it a go.

This review is for Griffins Head Hotel, Adelaide SA

We've eaten at the Griffin quite a few times. I think it's our favourite place for pub food in the city. The outside dining is quite nice, the menu has a good selection and the prices are very reasonable. I got the schnitzel which is always a good bar mark for any pub and it was very good, generous serve of sauce and chips. Definitely recommend getting a bite to eat here some time.

This is a very tough review. If I were to review it on my meal only then it would be one star in each category. So here goes, we went for my birthday and I ordered the special, a $40 steak. I was expecting the best steak I'd ever had. What I got tasted exactly like a Hungry Jacks burger. I was so disappointed. That said, my wife got the crab linguine and that was absolutely devine. However, I was furious that I was expected to pay that much for a steak that I wouldn't feed to my dog.

Approximate cost: $30
