On a lovely hot day in November we stopped in for lunch during our walk down the main street of Haandorf. Lovely atmosphere, it wasn't too crowded. The staff were friendly and the menu has a great selection to choose from. My sister and I had the 'Traditional Smoked Salmon' and our Mum had the 'Spiced Lamb Burger'. Meals were really nice, but a little on the pricey side.

We went here for a friends birthday. We had our on little seperate room with seperate restrooms aswell. I had pizza and it was so filling i couldnt finish it. It was a bit pricey but it was top restaurant quality and atmosphere not pub atmosphere.

This is a lovely, clean, modern restaurant/cafe situated in the main street.

Plenty of inside tables or you can sit outside too.

My husband and I have dined here for breakfast on two separate occasions on our trips to Hahndorf and have not been disappointed.

Hubby says he ate the best ever pancakes (topped with blueberries), bacon and fresh cream.

I opted for eggs florentine with smoked salmon for something different. It was delicious!!

Service is excellent, wait staff are polite and efficient.

I had a chai latte which a smallish glass but it was lovely!

Highly recommend this place for a meal! Definitely we will be returning for brekkie at this cafe on our next trip to SA

Lunch and dinner is also served, but I cannot comment on these meals as we have only dined at breakfast!

The price for breakfast is little expensive, ranging from $12.90 t0 $18.50, but worth the price as its quality!

We visit the Haus frequently for breakfast or lunch and are always happy. Their meals are fantastic and generous in their servings and the staff are always friendly and professional. We love the atmosphere and the last time we went their was a lovely gentleman playing piano which only added to the enjoyment. The prices are very reasonable for what you get and our favourites are always the pizzas but the breakfast menu is also outstanding. I particularly like all the local produce including beverages that appear on the menu.

I am revising this review because I have been back to Haus recently on two recent occassions and things appear to have changed for the better in terms of their staff and service. The food is still great, with fantastic pizzas and very fresh ingredients used, and I have been pleasantly surprised at the level of service and friendliness of the staff. Great job Haus, keep it up!

This cafe has a lovely decor and nice food but it is let down by poor service and indifferent staff. I'm hoping it will improve soon.
