Mothers Day breakfast 2017:
Poorly organised, overbooked, no communication regarding wait times. Trying to take chairs from tables where there were obviously people sitting still to reorganize for the people they were still trying to cram in. 30 minute wait to order, 80 minutes waiting for food which never came. No excuse or reason given. Another table had been waiting over 2 hours with no communication from staff. Absolutely amateur and shows they are not prepared for more than a few people wanting a coffee.

A cafe restaurant usually implies they will charge restaurant prices but put you in cheap seats. The nook provides a restaurant environment at near cafe prices.

Meals can be things like burgers, but for something more elegant try any of the seafood dishes (yes they are more expensive, but worth it).

We booked here for Mother's Day this year. It was a 3 course menu and they were excellent. The food was great

Have been there a couple of times. Both times experience was quite good. The main disappointment was the dinner menu selection. There is a very extensive and expensive wine selection, but not a great deal to choose from the mains selection. Meals were quite nice and okay value. Atmosphere and service was great.

Any customer of the Nook will be impressed upon entry - they have done a wonderful job in creating ambience. The service is so-so. Given the restaurant prices however, I would expect restaurant service. The attitude is more like a casual cafe but if I'm paying $20 to $30 for a weekday lunch in the burbs, I would expect better. That's my main gripe - if you only want a weekday tasty snack with friends, then this place is not really for you. Prices are comparable to quality inner-City restaurants and the menu only really offers full meals... No sandwiches, paninis, filos, quiches etc like you would find in most cafes. If you're prepared for that, then this place is probably as good as it gets for a restaurant in the western suburbs.

Went with friends for brunch on a weekend. And for those that were familiar with GardenWay Home & Garden located in Darra, I used to eat there when they were located there many years ago.

Anyways the decor takes you back to the Home & Garden centre. The coffee is fantastic and so is the food. The food is fresh, genereous and yum and the prices are on par with pretty all of the high end eateries in the area and surrounds.

If you go there often enough, the staff will probably know you by name.

First visit was for a coffee, the atmosphere and service was so good we decided to revisit for breakfast - sensational. Food was special, delicious and looked like a Masterchef creation - once again service was fantastic. Third visit was for lunch - again everything was perfect. Going again today for lunch, so looking forward to it already. Have recommended to many, none have been disappointed. Very special place which means it can be very busy but does not detract from the experience (also have a gift shop for a bit of browsing time - lots of goodies for ladies)......
