This place is like a national secret. From the outside it looks very bland but when you go in... it's an Aladidn's cave! There's a special little spot for everybody's personal idea of a great coffee house experience. Dark Corners for reading poetry, outdoor french provincial settings, room for one high speed wireless spots: you can choose the crowded front room or hide away in a cloud of coffee bliss.

Approximate cost: $12-$16

Yummy food, great atmosphere and a good place to meet up with friends or just to come in for a coffee and a bite to eat. Their cakes and coffee are fab.

Amazing food and terrific service in a cozy, warm atmosphere. I would make special mention of the chocolate cake, which is absolutely to die for. You have to get in early at weekends because it packs out!

Approximate cost: $30

Its a cosy, private little coffee house! The coffee is fantastic (have an affagatto!!), the only thing I found let this place down was the service although friendly, was a little slow.

What a groovy little coffee house. It is a house, not a shop either! I like the cosy closeness of the rooms and the outdoor area out the back. A great place for a romantic date or a friendly catch up.

Very fun!....the atmosphere was so different and very cosy. They also offered a wide selection of newspapers, magazines and even card/board games to play. My only criticism was probably the range of food on offer was a little limited.

Three Monkeys is all about coffee and ambience. Stepping into this little café, with its dark, gritty atmosphere is like being transported to Casablanca, Tunis or Algiers. You can order from a vast range of coffees, teas and cakes. Or, if you want more of a main meal, you might like a filo, enchilada, chilli con carne or something else from the modest menu. Then, choose your table: will it be inside, underneath the ceilings draped with Middle Eastern sashes, or outside amongst the trees and where the walls are hung with old coffee bean sacks? Just keep an eye on your watch, because it's too easy to let time drift away at Three Monkeys.

Approximate cost: $10
