A couple of years ago I sat down with a group of friends and had an excellent meal at Tokyo Grill House. The whole experience was wonderful, sitting down and seeing how everything is cooked right in front of you is refreshing and exciting. Recently a couple of friends and I decided not to dine but to get take away... we were very dissapointed in the value of the food. The wait was long which wasn't a huge problem until we recieved our food which was lacking flavour, was not hot and the size of the meal was inappropriate to what we had paid. I recommened to anyone interested in Tokyo Grill House to dine in which isn't a let down compared to the take away services they provide.

I have always loved this place, the food is amazing and the service is the best, they are they nicest people in the world. They have just recently opened a new place, Tokyo Grill House Cuisine Shop, it's next to Golden City (Gee Cees) and where Rinaldo's used to be. I went there last week for lunch and it was amazing. There were a lot of customers so the food took a little bit longer to come out. But because we were waiting, no longer than 10 minutes had passed and they brought out free dim sims and sushi because our meal was going to take 5 minutes longer. Best server I have ever received. The food was of the

Absolutely incredible food. Best Japanese restaurant in Australia. Always the same delicious quality and never left waiting for meals too long. Incredible Sashimi and absolutely delicious squid.
And highly impressed by the younger chef there, slightly slower than the two regular chefs but the food he was creating was incredible. Really really nice.

My favourite restaurant in Ballarat. The food is absolutley amazing and the whole experience is very entertaining. Especially great when going as a group. I think you can fit about 12 to a table. The Tepanyaki menu is a must. It is a little expensive but considering the quality and amount of food you get it is good value for money and perfect for a special occasion. Excellent

This restaurant is very good for a special occasion, however much too expensive to consider coming here regularly. The teppanyaki grill is an experience and worth trying at least once in a lifetime.

We came here for a bachelor party, and were very well treated by the staff. It's a performance as much as it is a meal, as anybody who has experienced this style of dining will be familiar with.

Try not to get the egg in your eye.

Our meal here was not the experience we'd hoped for. We decided to just order from the regular menu rather than have tepanyaki (figuring it was better value for money) and so were seated in the store entrance, which was less than impressive on the atmosphere front. The door to the venue has a really loud piercing buzzer that is constant until the door is closed. So it was pretty awful for every person who came and went throughout our meal. This space is also a very small one and having two occupied tables was somewhat squishy and annoying as staff tried to pass ours to get to the table behind. The staff on this occasion were pretty dreadful too. It took one of the inside chefs (who was very polite) to come out and check on us maybe 10 minutes after being seated to actually give us a menu. Then proceeded another maybe 15 minutes before a waitress even took our drink order, let alone food. It was very evident all of the waiting attention was going to the inside and as if being stuck in the foyer wasn't bad enough, being ignored did not help the situation!! Food was very good quality but was delivered staggered, similar to if you were having tepanyaki at the grill. Veg tempura to start followed by calamari (on a plate on it's own with nothing else) then salmon (again, with no accompanying rice or vegetables) then a plate of veg arrived after that followed by our two orders of vegie fried rice. We shared all the meals, but having ordered it all at once, were not expecting their arrival to be one dish at a time. Between four of us we were certainly not in a position to fill up in such a time frame having quartered each dish as it was served. Totally weird and disappointing not to be able to mix and eat all the food at once. We may return to try tepanyaki here in the future, but given they offer a main menu also and have seating in the foyer, they would do well to better serve customers here to make a better and more lasting impression. Food was not necessarily over-priced for quality, but for the experience, we paid way more than we felt we enjoyed.

I had the best time at this restaurant!!! I loved the atmosphere, whether there are only two of you, or a whole group of people!! The food is fantastic, especially as you can see them cook it infront of you. The chef and waitresses were very understanding of needing the food to be gluten free, and I just had a great time!

Tokyo Grill House is a great night out, especially with a group. They do Tepanyaki so they are cooking everything in front of you on the hot plate. You can order particular entree or main meals but there are banquets that are great to get a good variety of different foods and are much better priced. The food was absolutely delicious and the cooks are very entertaining. For beginners, the chef explains which sauces are for which dishes etc. It has BYO wine too and does take away

Approximate cost: $30 for a banquet
