Ricotta pancakes were so so good. For around $18, we got a beautifully decorated plate of fluffy pancakes that tasted like I was in heaven. The lovely atmosphere gave it an even better experience.

The place is beautifully done up and the atmosphere inviting. We were there on Saturday - 11am. It was pretty packed but we didn't have to wait for seating as we chose to sit on the bar stools (surprisingly comfortable and out of the way). Got served immediately and our drinks were out in five minutes. The staff are really friendly and it is a lovely place, conveniently located for brunch dates.

I ate here with my friend as it is situated opposite the hotel I was staying at. The food was lovely, but slightly overpriced in a city full of amazing, reasonably priced cuisine. I ate a wagyu beef burger which was amazing, and my friend had some sort of tuna concoction. It was great, but I don't know that the fanfare was so necessary for lunch! I would recommend this place for a special occasion, or if your wallet is fat and you want to give it some exercise!

Two Birds One Stone is one of my favourite cafes in Melbourne. I didn't even know this cafe was popular when I went there, I just thought it looked great. The breakfast I ate there was delicious. They also make great coffee and hot chocolate too.

I've been to this bustling little cafe for lunch and breakfast on separate occasions and have loved it both times! Lunch on a Saturday, the cafe was full, but we only waited a couple of minutes to be seated at a fun communal table. I had the most delicious pulled pork belly brioche burger, and my friend had the gorgonzola and polenta with asparagus dish. Both were quite different, and both were quite delicious! Breakfast on a Friday morning was much less busy, but the atmosphere was still fun and energetic, and staff were still really friendly. I had the yogurt panna cotta wih fresh fruit and nut clusters, and my friend had their bircher muesli with poached pear. Again, both were yummy, and the perfect thing for breakfast! Their cooked breakfasts look delicious as well, and I will definitely be heading back for more!
They also have a range of single origin coffees which are served a range of ways.
Another lovely 'hip' cafe in Melbourne!!

Two Birds One Stone is down a quiet side street in South Yarra but it's clear it's one of the latest cafes du jour as it gets super busy. My brother and I came here on a weekday morning and although we had no trouble getting a seat, it was certainly bustling. I loved the decor and setting, with a big communal table and booths. Since it was so busy, it was quite noisy but that doesn't really phase me too much.

Nice, varied menu - I had the french toast and stone fruit which was divine. Coffee was good too, but a tiny bit bitter for my taste. Staff were a little scattered but really lovely and did check in with us to see if our meal was okay.

Sad I'm no longer in Melbourne to frequent these great cafes but if you're in South Yarra and looking for a brunch spot, look no further.

I went here with my work colleagues for lunch a few weeks ago. It was PACKED and when we asked for a table, we were told to sit at the coffee bar, and that we would be moved to a table when it got freed up. That would have been fine, except we ended up staying at the coffee bar the entire meal (we were not sure if someone forgot we were waiting on a table) as well as the fact that one of my work colleagues was heavily pregnant and quite uncomfortable sitting on a small stool. So that was pretty disappointing.

Having said that, the food was great, really yummy and quite generous in portion size. Coffee was good too. Service was quite slow but very friendly when there was some.

It's disappointing that I wouldn't recommend this place on the basis of it being totally overcrowded. I would be worried that I wouldn't get a seat again, and be disappointed on the second time. Maybe it just needs to get less popular!

This place is down a daggy side street but was packed. My friends and I scored a booth and never felt pressured to leave, even after we'd eaten and our table had been cleared.
The staff here are really friendly. The coffee is fantastic and the food is plentiful, fresh and tasty.
I had the One Stone breakfast and a couple of cups of coffee.
They mix their own special coffee blends, but I chose the usual coffee.
Two Birds One Stone has a nice vibe, I'll go back.
