Great burgers, grumpy staff. I love Urban Burger, their burgers never disappoint. As mentioned by another reviewer though the staff always seem miserable and never crack a smile.

Burgers are good no doubt but would it hurt to crack a smile? Last couple of times I've had along wait and its been quiet so no reason for the wait IMHO

I die and go to heaven when I eat your burgers and the fat chips.... what ever that seasoning is makes them killer!

Again the burgers are amazing. Well priced for the quality and quite healthy as far as burgers go. Great people and atmosphere. The place to be after a day at the beach and on a hot summers day!

3-6 months ago I would have given these guys 5 stars - The service was good, the chips were always fresh and seemed to have always been cooked in fresh oil, and the quality of every burger was consistently fantastic (The bambino was a feast in itself)!!
More recently, the attention to detail has slipped.... The chips are no longer as fresh or appear to be cooked in older oil, the size of the bambino has shrunk considerably, and the bread used in the main burgers is missing something (perhaps not toasted).
Service is a mixed bag - At times great, at others simply unoffensive.
That said, the burgers are still good, just not as mouth watering as they once were. Fingers crossed they return to form.

I've been going to Urban burger since it opened an at first it was exciting to have so many vegie choices, but over time, something has slipped a little in the flavour department. And the burger buns are a little big - I'm sure if your a big burly bloke, that would be a plus, but it's a little more bread than ingredients. Overall though it's ok burgers and really yummy chips - especially with the aoli dip

Urban Burgers make some of the best gourmet burgers i have tasted. It's a little more expensive, but the burgers are exceptional and servings of chips quite generous. Personally go the urban legend burger, and although i haven't ventured into the chicken ones, have been told they are very good!!! Also Ub store in richmond.

If you like Urban burger, but find it a bit expensive, Try the Diner in Prahran, HUGE burger and filling(not expensive).
Promise you won't leave hungry.

Great little burger place that have burgers that are a bit more gourmet than your average fish and chip shop. Also quite good to eat in as they have a room out the back with a few tables and some newspapers if you are there on your own. The burger with brie in it is great.

I am a big fan of these new age burger joints (speaking of which I need to get my cholesterol checked!). My friend used to live around the corner from this place and we went there all the time. This was the first place that I was introduced to Aioli which is really just a fancy name for garlic mayonnaise, but it's a must have with the chips.

It's quite a groovy little shop (very busy at lunch time) and has a small room out the back in you want "dine-in" while reading the paper. I love the Sensei Beef Burger with Wasabi-mayo. My mate used to get 'Brie' burger which has a big slab of melting Brie cheese on it, too rich for my liking.

Approximate cost: $13
