I have had an ADSL home internet service with Westnet for 12 years
Today my internet stopped working around 5:00am & is still off 8.5 hours later
I called Westnet 5 times & emailed many times, but they can't tell me why it is not working or when it will be fixed
They said that a te unicorn would look at it in one or two days
It is unacceptable for an Internet service in an Audtralian capital city to be out of action for even one hour letter alone two days. It is 2016.
I shall switch to another ISP

The service I receive from Westnet as my ISP is great. When you ring for an issue if they are busy they ring you back asap & follow through with their examination to get your issue resolved & loa & behold they are in Australia & you actually speak to a live person.
We have been using west net for years. When we first started using it, I had a virus on my computer, and they helped me through the problem, even though it took hours!!!!!! Always helpful and courteous. Good to shop W.A.
We went from a wireless phone/internet with virgin, to a landline with Westnet so we could get ADSL. After some research on pricing we decided to give Westnet a go. Their customer service was fantastic. As a result of not having used our landline for a couple of years, we had to get Telstra to reconnect it (it was physically connected, but they had made the line dormant). I was badly mucked around by Telstra - 3 times I organised a day off work, or for my kids to be dropped at kinder by someone else, and each time Telstra didn't arrive. Each time I would ring Westnet worried I was going to miss out on a deal that they had that was only valid for the first month I wanted to sign up, and each time they said they would still give us the deal, and were more than helpful in explaining everything we had to do in order for Westnet to connect our phone. Every time I ring them I speak to someone who is a native english speaker, and I feel they go out of their way to make sure I am happy with the outcome of the call. Definitely recommend.
After trying the other companies a friend suggested Westnet for my internet services, at first I was hesitant to go with a company I had never heard of but I have not regretted a minute, everything was connected and up and running quickly and with little fuss.
The technical support is fantastic, they don't talk to you like you are stupid and aren't rushing to get you off the phone, they will even help if you have a modem that isn't theirs, unlike other service providers.
I have never had problems with connection or billing. After years getting angry and frustrated with other providers I am happy.
I always recommend Westnet to my friends over the other big internet providers.
We have joined westnet recently and we are very happy with the service and our package deal. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
We shopped around for a home and internet package and we connected to telstra but we then found Westnet and they were over half the price of what we were getting from telstra. So we joined up with them and they disconnected us from telstra for us and had everything hooked up in 2 days which is shorter time than what we had to wait for telstra in the first instance. We rang tem once we receivdour modem and they ran through the whole process from hook up to setting up emails accounts and windows mail. Theey spoke in plain english not in words that we couldnt understand. The best experience was that we spoke to some body that we could understand and could understand what we were asking

I currently got my phone line with Westnet. The sale representative was very help full who answered all my questions. Westnet got great deals on their phone line rental. All good
Initially had dial up broadband in country WA, now have both broadband & phone in metro WA. When I have problems or queries the staff are always there to help and explain in simple terms for me. If I leave a message they will always ring back. Have used Telstra & Optus in the past and won't go back there. Have had no complaints over 5 years of service.
We use Westnet for our phone and internet connection. We have had such good service from them over the years. They have won awards for their good service. They beat Optus and Telstra hands down! If you ring and you don't want to wait in the queue, you can leave a message and they actually ring you back.
