My boyfriend and I went to the cafe for their Valentine's Day Special. For about $35 each we had an entree, main and dessert each. Great value, beautiful views and attentive service.
However, they charged us $7 for still water.. so make sure you ask for tap/table water.

We went here for our first anniversary. The view is amazing at night. The food is also very fitting. Been back here a couple of times since then.

My husband and I enjoyed dinner in the café for our last wedding anniversary. I phoned up last minute to book a table and enquired about the possibility of a table by the window, as it was our wedding anniversary. I completely understood when I was told no. To our surprise when we arrived we found that they had shifted some tables and made us a table by the window. I enjoyed the barramundi whilst my husband had an awesome penne dish. I will definitely be visiting windy point again.

My partner took me here as a surprise, and WOW!!! We started in the pavillion, where we had pre-dinner drinks, the Shanghai Sling was so delicious, i now have a new favourite drink. The meal was amazing. The Smokey Bay oysters were just devine, the perfect amount of bacon. For main course we had Barramundi served with caramelised fennel, lemon mash and bean salad. The fish was cooked to perfection, and it was one of the most delicious meals i have had. the desert of Vanilla Panna cotta completed a perfect meal. this restaurant is quite formal, and has a beautiful atmosphere along with the stunning views. The staff were delightful, very friendly and made my evening one i wont forget. This restaurant is on the expensive side, but its worth every penny.

Having been to Windy Point Cafe twice now I can say it has been of a very high standard across all areas in my experiences. The food was excellent as part of the Festival of Food, the drink selections were very good if a little on the pricey side but overall it was fantastic.

Approximate cost: $25-35

We went to this café to enjoy brunch while looking at the view. In short - meh! The service was average. Sign to go to front counter to order food, directed to bar, ordered food and gave them credit card to start tab. When I returned to bar at the end to pay, sent to front counter but no effort from staff to retrieve card from bar to process payment. Breakfast was okay, as was coffee.

Love the view and the ambience. Had the dips that were freshly made and very yummy. The main course I chose fish of day and it was the Atlantic salmon. Loved the mash that it was served on

We went to windy point restaurant for a small (6ppl) celebration for a friends's graduation. I've heard so many amazing things about windy point but we were quite disappointed with our experience.
The food was average-- presentation was great but there was nothing special or unique about the menu choices or the taste. My chicken was rather bland. The chocolate dessert platter was nothing special either. It was overly sweet & everything was made with milk & white chocolate -- i reckon there always needs a balance of dark/bitter chocolate on a platter.
The biggest let down was the service. Our meals took a long time & for a hatted restaurant- I think that's unacceptable. Our meals also came at different times so none of us really ate together.
That experience completely put me off the restaurant. For the price charged-- I don't think it's worth it.

This has got to be one of the most expensive restaurants I have ever been to. I came here for my first year anniversary with my partner. The scenery is great if you're at a window seat. The food was very disappointing though. The food portion was ridiculously small for it's price. My partner and I easily had $200 worth of food (not including dessert!) and was still hungry afterwards that we had to eat again an hour later.

Approximate cost: $40
