Terrible quality, not fit for purpose, difficult follow up service with no fix and expensive!!

Would not normally write a review in a forum like this but wish I had known how bad Wynstan blinds were before we proceeded with the expensive purchase of a retractable fly screen!
Fly screen installed and needed to be fixed 3 times in 2 years. Each time the person fixing the blind advised the blind had been installed incorrectly and needed to be removed to be fixed properly. Wynstan Blinds refused to assess it and wanted to continue to fix. Every time a request to be fixed we had to wait 2-3 months before a service person could come not to mention the numerous follow up phone calls. the blind is currently still broken with no end in sight. Wysntan have been aggressive and rude and not take any responsibility for their crappy product and service.
Do yourself, your sanity and bank account a favour and go somewhere else for blinds.

NEGLIGENT CAUSING INJURY-DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
We had some heavy duty blinds installed by Wynstan blinds and three weeks later the heaviest one fell straight out of the ceiling and onto my shoulder.
It turns out they’ve been using cheap wall plugs instead of the ones they recommend on their website (Ramset 10mm Grip Hollow Wall Anchor, metal and substantial)
I have been in constant pain ever since the injury with my doctor sending me for x-rays. Six weeks recovery ahead of me and what do you think Wynstan have done about it?? They have offered me $100 cash back as “compensation” so looks like a stressful legal battle ahead of us.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Wynstan Warilla do not use there own installers so they flick you off if there is any damage or warranty claim as not there problem. We had our blinds installed and the installer left 6 holes in our walls and left. We had to call to get them to come back and was told it would be over a week later. We are now in our second warranty claim with one of the brackets coming out of the wall, all other brackets loose and not connecting with the rail and the rail itself appears bowed from the weight of the blackout curtains (the product they suggested). We were promised a quick response from the warranty team which we didn't get, and a call yesterday from a manager which we didn't get either. Disappointed with the overall customer service from the team.

Worst experience I could ever have imagined.. Ordered in November 2021 with guaranteed install by Christmas, Still waiting for install in July 2022.. Curtains incorrectly measured TWICE.. had to be sent back to the warehouse both times.. Brackets turn up the wrong colour.. I could go on.. When we complained about the wait we were given a 2% reduction in price with a "That's all we can do, sorry about the wait".. Just an absolute dogs breakfast, wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy..

It's misleading to provide even one star for Wynstan Blinds.

This Company is absolutely hopeless and I strongly recommend any prospective customer to walk away if you are considering them for blinds, flyscreens or doors. They just aren't capable of delivering.

We ordered roller blinds, flyscreens and doors back in March 2022. We were informed to expect a lead time of 6 weeks from order to installation. Fast forward 14 weeks and the installer came today.

Whilst I appreciate that many goods/services have been strongly impacted by the pandemic (and so I have some sympathy), the customer service team have continually misled me about the reasons for the delay. On one occasion there were no installers, two weeks later I found out that some of my order hadn't finished production and so wasn't ready for installation in the first place! Trying to get a straight answer from the customer service team was impossible.

Today, the installer informed me that every single blind (12 in total) has been incorrectly measured and so cannot be installed. The flyscreens are also the wrong colour.

I'm not surprised by this, it rounds out what has been an absolute disaster from start to finish. The problem now however, is that I will need to deal with the hopeless customer service team that have zero skills in customer service and I have absolutely no confidence that they can fix this.

I will be requesting my money back and will look to an alternative provider. I'll keep this forum posted if there are problems with a refund - I expect there will be!

Got a pull down fly screen for a servery from the kitchen to outdoors. Great product, guy who installed it was lovely and professional. Would definitely recommend their service!

Lovely people, hopeless at what they do. I ordered three flyscreens and none of them fitted first time. Then when one that was remade (begrudgingly) got installed, the installer used the wrong screw size (that's now jammed so I can't remove it) and this resulted in a gap. When the whole point of flyscreens is no gap...well, you can see what I mean. Outsourcing their labour does not work as far as customer satisfaction goes. They're cheap and there is clearly a reason they're cheap.

Misleading selling tactics, faulty installation and terrible customer service

Apart from the initial measure and quote, everything was a downhill experience with Wynstan. I purchased over $23,000 worth of motorised blinds, flyscreens and Crimsafe and have had issues with all of the three, either due to poor installation or the products not working as they were marketed. Over the course of the last two years I have experienced the following with Wynstan:

1. Two-month delay in installation because customer service failed to notify me that the fabric I ordered was out of stock and didn’t give me the option to select an alternative.

2. Insufficient installers sent out to complete the install job, resulting in me having to be home on three separate days for installations, which on two of the days took over 10 hours. This is despite Wynstan knowing from the outset what the scale of the job was.

3. One of the installers negligently left a large Crimsafe beam leaning against my backdoor after the first installation day and didn’t inform me, so when the door was next opened the beam fell indoors, nearly injuring a family member and tearing a big hole in an internal wall. When I called Wynstan to raise this issue, they had the audacity to request I organise three separate quotes for the repair of the wall before they would pay to fix it. I eventually got them to agree to the quote I had, which was completely within reason.

4. Some flyscreens were incorrectly installed, leaving a gap between the window and the screen and allowing insects to fly in, defeating the purpose of the screens.

5. Front Crimsafe door was installed crooked, which meant it was difficult to open and shut, sometimes temporarily trapping us indoors.

6. Locks on two separate Crimsafe doors broke through normal use. These products are marketed as being super secure, yet the lock mechanisms broke without any force.

7. Motorised blinds were sold to us as only needing to be charged every 6-12 months, depending on use. Instead, have to charge them every 2-3 months and sometimes more often or they stop working. Wynstan came back to test one of the blinds and determined themselves that there was no issue, but I have since found out that customer service now advises installers to tell customers that the charge only lasts 2-3 months. If the charge doesn’t last the 6-12 months we were told at time of sale and initial installation, then the product is not fit for purpose. Wynstan is engaging in deceptive practice by restrospectively changing the estimated charge time to fit what their new testing has shown to the actual charge time.

Throughout the past two years, it has always taken repeated attempts to get answers from Wynstan customer service and lengthy delays in servicing. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Can't fault Wynstan. Had 4 blinds installed at Pyrmont plus a sliding screen door. Everything handled very professionally with Matt doing the quote and Brian handling the installation.
