wow, this is one of those restaurants that's been around a while and has the decor to prove it! you go in and are overwhelmed by the delicious smell of indian food cooking, as well as the friendliness of the owners and staff. the food is the most wonderful curry i've ever had, definitely a winner. good value too - a great night out - or in, for takeaway.

I took my cat here to get his shots and he also had a minor injury. the nurses where so lovely, got him in very quickly and with minimal distress. the vet was kind and careful, you could really tell they love animals and want to help them and their owners. can't rate it highly enough.

the harmonie german club is a typical aussie/german club - kind of daggy but a nice relaxing atmosphere. the restaurant is run by a german chef and the food is just fantastic, the best german food in the ACT by far. huge servings and lovely service. you can also see a large piece of the berlin wall out the front, great club.

very nice gym, open and airy and offering lots of les mills classes, eg bodystep, bodypump, bodyattack etc. also has yoga, tai kwon do for kids, spinning classes and the usual machines. they have great trainers who work hard to keep you inspired. very enjoyable place to work out.

nicely set out, clean and a well-priced op shop with heaps of clothing, shoes, homewares, books, lps etc etc. the volunteers are always friendly too.

this local pharmacy treats all its customers with dignity and with a special attention to detail. i had some questions for the pharmacist and he stopped and discussed my concerns for as long as i needed (despite having lots of customers). they have a good range of items and its a warm environment.

this is a terrific workshop owned by a passionate furniture conservator. he will assess and treat your furniture as though it was his own. great place.

this is a salon where you are made to feel welcome. the decor is lovely, very open and stylish. the stylists are friendly and highly skilled. i often feel uncomfortable in a salon, but even though this one is very trendy and happening, it is also warm and friendly. the apprentices are excellent, as is the beauty therapist. highly recommended

i must have walked past this place a hundred times without noticing it! then a friend took me there to get coffee, i was blown away. the place is a charming little bakery/coffee shop with delicious coffee and bread i've only seen before in europe. the atmosphere is bustling, you really want to stay and hang out there - shame its so popular!

very good food and a relaxed atmosphere. the decor is nice as its simple but sophisticated. white linen is a winner. the menu isn't huge, but i prefer that. its very much like a european restaurant or bistro. the lamb shanks are enormous and delicious, i have tried about half the menu so far and have always been happy with the food.
