A lot must have changed since these reviews were written. I took my car in for a safety check and was told I had to have the brakes done, otherwise they would report me to the police! I had had a service done the month before at another mechanic and there was nothing wrong with them! So I allowed the brakes to be changed, and then there was a leak in the master cylinder which I knew about so I let him change that too. The master cylinder was incorrectly put in so the brake fluid leaked out all over the floor before I had gone 50kms - at 3 am driving down the Bulli Pass - not fun. So back it went - it got fixed again - then the brakes weren't right - so I complained to Ultratune HQ - they sent me to Ultratune Alexandria - seemed nice enough - washed and adjusted the brakes - plus then charged me $300 to change a mirror and a light bulb. And guess what! The brakes still weren't right! A terrible screeching and high pitched sound coming from them - so I took it back again - and they said that all they did was wash and adjust the brakes. AGAIN! Really? Anyway I have asked for a detailed invoice of what was done to the van and both workshops refuse to give me one. I have even had Ultratune HQ intervene - but still nothing. Do not go near this mechanic - particularly if you are a woman!
