This hotel is in a great location close to the shops in the heart of Melbourne. We stayed here for two nights recently and didn't need to move the car as everything is walking distance. The room is modern, clean but on the small side especially the bathroom. But we didn't stay in the room long enough for this to be a problem.

My husband and I went for dinner at this restaurant while visiting Melbourne. It was recommended by a melbournian friend saying we would not be disappointed. We certainly weren't, the food was amazing and good value for money given you are in the heart of the city. When we arrived at around 6.00pm the restaurant was already full so we put our name down and went downstairs to the bar (go-go) for a drink. We received an SMS when our table was ready and bought our drinks upstairs with us to the restaurant. It wasn't a long wait as the staff are very efficient.

We decided to go with silver cloud cars on our wedding day, booking two black and silver bentleys. The cars arrived on time and took us to our various locations as required without the need to direct. The drivers were friendly and offered us chilled champaigne after the church. The only thing that the cars were lacking was air conditioning, as it was a hot day in November, although its hard to find air con in cars from the 1940's.

I had Skye from BVP make both my engagement and wedding cakes. The service I received was very professional. The cakes were made exactly to my specifications. I would recommend BVP to anyone who needs a cake for a special occasion. They are very affordable and taste lovely!

The food and service at the Lagoon restaurant is always exceptional. My family and I always have a great time and have shared many special occasions there. The menu is rather extensive from seafood, beef, veal and chicken. Even the fussiest eater can find something on the menu which they will enjoy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all of my family and friends.

My husband and I stayed here on the night of our wedding. The room was very nice (new and modern) and as the staff knew it was our wedding night we arrived to our room and noticed a bottle of champaigne, strawberries and a congratulatory note from the hotel. Breakfast was included and consisted of the full hot breakfast you would come to expect at most large hotels. If you are looking to stay in Wollongong for a special occasion I would recommend this hotel as its much newer than some of the other well known hotels in Wollongong. The hotel is also positioned one block away from the beach and a few blocks away from the mall.

Recently my mum and I went to the ibah spa for a relaxation facial. We opted to take our facials in the same room. The views from the escarpment were amazing as you could see the ocean in the distance. Very nice location. The treatment was very nice and products used smelt lovely. The only disappointing part of our experience was that the beauty therapists talked through the whole treatment. This made our relaxation facial not very relaxing! I came out feeling like I had been ripped off as we had paid $150 for this facial which is quite a premium for these types of treatments in the Illawarra area. I have been to many spas in Australia and overseas and would not recommend to any of my family or friends. Very dissappointing.

I chose to have Steve Khalil to make my wedding dress. Steve worked with me to design a dress which I had pictured in my head but wasnt able to find anywhere in Sydney. He is very friendly and professional. Throughout the whole process he made me feel as special as his celebrity clients. I attended six appointments where I got to try the dress on and see how it was progressing.This was something that I was very mindfull of as I have friends who purchased dresses at other bridal stores where ripped tuelle had been used in the skirt of the dress. I wanted to avoid this by scheduling monthly visits to check on the dress at each stage. Steve never rushed the fitting and we always had a good chat at the end.
Even though his gowns are a bit on the expensive side the quality and service you receive from Steven Khalil is exceptional. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a wedding dress designer in the future.

Every time I view photos from a friends wedding I feel thankful that my husband and I chose Tim Pascoe to take our wedding photos. We didnt know it at the time, being rather new to weddings (we were one of the first couples from our friendship group to get married), but his photos are exceptional and he captures moments which others lack. This has been evident over the past few weddings I have attended. Before our special day Tim asked for a list of our family members and their names to ensure that he captures these people throughout the day also. This didnt mean that there were more photos of our guests but he made sure that we got to see what happened around us when we were busy with other guests. During the day we didnt have to ask for photos, unlike one of my friends at her wedding recently. Tim was very observant and knew when to capture the best moment for us.
Tim's creativity, dedication and passion in photography led us to chose him for our wedding. Along with a positive and approachable attitude he has received awards including NSW wedding photographer of the year in 2007 and 2010.
My husband and I were very happy with our photos which arrived shortly after we came back from our honeymoon. We decided not to get a photobook but receive all of the HD photos on a cd. We preferred this as we could make copies to enlarge and put in frames, although Tim does also make photobooks which are very nice.
