This review is for The Denman, Thredbo Village NSW

verified email - 21 Jan 2013

My husband and I recently stayed at the denman on our holiday. The hotel is centrally located in thredbo although thredbo isn't a large town so everything is walking distance. The rooms are clean, neat and have all the amenities you expect from a boutique hotel. Bathrooms are stocked with aveda products which smell devine. Our room had a nice outlook onto the ski slopes with a balcony where we sat with a bottle of wine. The dinner is exceptional although pricey. Breakfast was included but lacking - no hot meal, only toast and cereal.

This review is for Eden Laser Clinics, Eastgardens NSW

One of my friends recommended Eden laser clinics for laser treatments due to the great specials they have throughout the year. I took her advice and booked in for my first visit. The ladies were very nice, experienced and explained all of the risks before my treatment. Worried about the pain they told me I could pause at any time during the treatment, which put my mind at ease. After all the worry the laser treatment didn't hurt at all. Laser treatments can be quite expensive so it's best to shop around before committing to a series of expensive treatments.

This review is for Mexican Cocina Grill And Cantina, Jindabyne NSW

This is one of the newest restaurants to open in Jindabyne and what a cracker it is! It is always buzzing, the outside seating a welcome addition in summer and the food to die for. The ingredients are always so fresh and the service impeccable. Cool young and fun staff add to the overall experience. I can just imagine that this restaurant will be a busy place in winter! Would recommend this to all family and friends staying in or around jindabyne.

This review is for The Front Room Hairdressing Studio, Coogee NSW

I have been going to front room hairdressing for the past two years and really enjoy each visit. Justine and her team are very professional, skilled and have a good eye for what will look nice for me if I'm undecided. I usually go in for blonde foils but have also had up styles done for various events. Each style has received many lovely compliments from family and friends.

Great selection of current magazines, good coffee and chat also!

This review is for The Leaf Thai Restaurant, Rose Bay NSW

verified email - 14 Jan 2013

I have been coming to the leaf for Thai for the last two years and each time I go the food is exceptional. The meals are also great value for money. Two mains and rice usually set us back around $35, which is rather cheap for Rose Bay. They also offer free delivery for orders over $20 if you live close.

This review is for No Limit Pictures, Sydney NSW

verified email - 13 Jan 2013

My husband and I chose to use no limit pictures to video our wedding day and we were extremely disappointed. We agreed to receive a long version and short version video of our day. The short version was done very well while the long version only consisted of two hours of continuous footage. It pretty much just covered the church and speeches. The impression that no limit pictures gave me before the wedding was that the long version would consist of the whole day, which is what I wanted.

When I received the video I was unimpressed and very angry. I can not believe I paid almost $3000 for 2 hours worth of footage which any human with a camera and a stand could have shot. I felt that I paid this company to come to my wedding, feed them at the reception for nothing. I asked for all of the footage from the day in the hope that i could find some more valuable footage but was handed 20 second videos of random things throughout the day, nothing of use.

While watching the video I also noticed that the camera man didn't focus on my husband and I and our close friends and relatives when we were dancing. He didn't even care to ask who was close to us so he could focus on them.

From watching some of their other videos, they are all the same and become boring after a while. I warn all of my newly engaged friends of no limit pictures and steer clear of them, as a result a number of friends did not even consider this company.

This review is for Coco Beaute, Bondi Junction NSW

I went for a dermalogica active 35 facial at coco beaute. The beautician was very friendly and knowledgable. She warned me of the stinging I would experience from the products while having the facial, so I was prepared. The treatments are good value and I would go back again.

The moscato at t'gallant is amazing! This winery is set in a beautiful location and the food is great also. The winery runs cooking classes throughout the year which I will be coming back for to attend.

This review is for Ten Minutes by Tractor, Main Ridge VIC

This winery was recommended to us after speaking to the staff at t'gallant winery which is pretty much ten minutes by tractor up the road from this winery. It is a picturesque winery which gets very busy for tastings. I had to wait to get a spot at the bar but the wait was well worth it. The estate Chardonnay was as good as James Halliday said it was, I ended up purchasing a bottle. We also purchased a pinot noir wit (wine in tube) pack. Its a 60ml sample of 5 wines for $35.My husband found this to be a great idea as we dont finish a whole bottle over dinner, plus we also get try a variety of wines at home, in house wine tasting. Also a great xmas gift idea! We didn't eat at the restaurant although it did look very nice but pricey. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

This review is for Brown Brothers Winery, Milawa VIC

verified email - 11 Jan 2013

This is one big winery! Brown brothers was established in 1885 and produces a wide variety of wines which can be bought at cellar door or in shops like dan murphies. The staff are lovely and very knowledgable at the tasting. Only one wine on the tasting list wasn't available as it was sold out, we were made aware of this before looking at the listing which was very considerate. I found a half dry Riesling which I liked and is only available at the cellar door, my husband found a limited release durif which he liked. I would recommend both family and friends to go and visit to learn more about the wine making process and try other brown brothers wines which you might not have tried yet.
