Am a regular customer, and generally am happy with the service. However I purchased a top on special (they had few left) and when I got home and tried it on I realised I needed the next size up. So I returned to the store and asked to swap it over. The only top of the same style in the size I wanted was on a mannequin in the middle of the store. When I asked if could swap over the top I wanted to exchange with that on the mannequin I was told that this was not possible as it was "policy" not to take the clothes off the mannequin. It made my wonder if it was "policy" to hinder sales in that way! Given that I was proposing a swap, and not to leave a mannequin topless, I didn't think my proposal was that ludicrous. Surely the sales assistant could offer check with a manager to seek approval to swap the tops over?
