This really is a nice place to go for a meal, they are a bit expensive, but the meals are very high quality and delicious. Living close to Mclaren Vale is great for us because we don't have to travel far to enjoy this restaurant. The dining areas are wonderful, especially in the evening and the selection of wine is amazing. We prefer to go when it is not so busy, so a friday lunch is a good time. The staff were friendly and helped us to decide what to eat and which wine would go best with the meal. Very enjoyable.

I have been here a couple of times on my travels with the family. A must purchase here is their pies and sausage rolls, they are delicious, not to mention their cakes, quite a few to choose from, the kids really love them. This bakery is hard to drive past without dropping in. Friendly country bakery.

Unbelievable! I am amazed that no one has reviewed this wonderful restaurant yet. So it is up to me, my pleasure. I went here with my husband and a group of friends as it was a 40th Birthday celebration lunch. We had such a great time. They have spacious indoor and outdoor dining areas, breathtaking views of the hills (so relaxing) and such incredible flavoursome food. An enormous menu with wine to match, a very friendly waitress who went through the menu with us. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, none of us could fault anything, it was absolutely perfect!!!! A must is their desserts, I made sure there was room for that. I will say that it is very expensive, but well worth it, excellent quality food, surrounds and friendly atmosphere. We will definitely return, but it will be a special occasion like this one. You really need to book, as on the weekends they are extremely busy, but was told during the week not so bad as long as it isn't the holidays. Anyway, had a fabulous time and would definitely recommend to anyone.

I have been here a couple of times with friends, we mainly go here for their wood oven pizzas. Their Meatlovers is the best, usually order the 13" as it is enough for 3 of us as long as there is an entree, garlic bread. This italian restaurant also has the best Calzone I have ever had, truly one of the best. They have a very extensive menu so you are sure to find something that suits you. Very friendly service, usually go just before peak time (12:30) then you are bound to get a table. Will be returning for sure. Bellissimo!

Went here a few months ago, as there is a nice ocean view from this cafe. We ordered the Fisherman's Catch to share as we weren't particularly hungry, this meal normally serves one but it was just the right amount for us. We sat out side to eat it as we wanted to take in the view. I wouldn't recommend eating outside on a cool windy day as it wasn't that great - still enjoyed the view. This cafe has a very relaxed feel to it. The staff are very friendly and they have a reasonably priced menu. You can also have breakfast here, we haven't tried that yet, not to mention that their pizzas look pretty good aswell, will definitely be having pizza next time. Overall, we did enjoy ourselves and will be back when the weather improves.

Finally decided to drop in after one of our shopping trips. We firstly did some taste testing and of course purchased a bottle - most are priced around $20. Was quite impressed with the cafe, it has very modern decor and the cakes and pastries looked quite delicious. We decided to order a Grazing Plate which consisted of a selection of cheeses, crackers, olives, dried fruit etc... really went well with a glass of wine. We sat outside as it was such a great day and enjoyed the views. Very nicely set up, relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. Open 7 days. Drop in the next time you are in Mclaren Vale, it was a very pleasant experience.

This review is for Blighty's Traditional British Fish & Chips, Aberfoyle Park SA

After reading the review for this fish and chip shop we tried it and cannot say we will be returning. We had the cod and chips, whilst we did receive a generous serving of chips, I cannot say the same about the cod, it was expensive and tasted ok, but quite small serving. We also found the chips to be extremely soggy. Is this how the british like their chips, SOGGY! I would really like to know. It took about 15 minutes before we could place our order and another 15 before receiving it. The staff were quite friendly just very busy, I guess everyone wants to see how the British do their fish and chips. We prefer the aussie way and wont be returning as it is not for us. The kids were especially disappointed. Try for yourself, you might enjoy it!

This review is for Puccini's Restaurant, Parkside SA

Some friends suggested we try this place out with them as they had heard it was quite a good restaurant. It looks like quite a nice restaurant from the outside and very clean, well set out and tidy on the inside, but didn't have very many tables. So if you wanted to go in a large group you would probably need to book the whole place. We went on a saturday night and couldn't believe that there were only three other tables taken. It might be because the food really is expensive, I had the fettuccine carbonara ($30), I cannot say that I have ever paid that much for pasta, it was quite nice but not for that price. Entree's range from about $9 for some garlic bread, which was ok. They did serve our meals very quickly, but it wasn't busy. They were friendly enough, but it wasn't a great atmosphere and their wines were way toooo expensive. Overall, not such a great night out and we all decided we wouldn't be returning. Maybe they were having bad night - which does happen, but really not worth paying that much. So, will not be returning.

Having an extreme sweet tooth, I felt that this would be a place for me. Oh yes, I was in heaven. Chocolates Galore. So much to choose from is the only issue I had. Although I have to say I did have to wait quite some time to be served as they were so busy - it was worth the wait. Also love their hot chocolate, kids also really enjoyed themselves. I definitely recommend to all the CHOCOLATE LOVERS our there.

This review is for Dora's Yiros, Woodville West SA

Yiro's from Dora's is the best I have ever had, it cannot be faulted, such excellent quality at very reasonable prices. I could not believe how good the food was/is. A very extensive menu, which makes it even harder to know what to have, I like the family meal deals, that makes it a bit easier. You will not believe how good it is until you try it for yourself. Absolutely delicious. Mouthwatering flavours. A must!
Definitely recommend.
