Magnificent chocolate selection. Each multi-chocolate purchase comes with a freebie for a hot drink next time, just another reason to go back for more!

Great price and the ability to go to other YMCAs make it even better. The added bonus of the pool when it's open is another reason I chose to join here instead of Fernwood which is a lovely gym but less convenient for me. The creche is run by lovely staff and makes it easier for us mums to have some time out occasionally. There is a great selection of group fitness classes available to suit most people. The equipment as stated previously isn't top notch and fancy, but it does the job. Really nice people working there too.

Approximate cost: $28 per fortnight or casual sessions available

I've been to quite a few playcentres and this is so far my favourite. The food is of a higher quality than any others I've been to, although anything cooked can take a while to arrive. It's a bit more expensive than some others, but it's much cleaner, and more fun than others. The big kids playground is brilliant, and as a parent you can easily run around with your children in it, without getting stuck! The visibility is pretty good, at most times you can see whereabouts your child is, which is very important to me. You can get up and order a coffee without having to walk away from where you can see your children. The play areas are kept very tidy (no old food or broken items sticking out). The kids have an absolute ball. There is a gate to stop children wandering out from the main area, as well as a gate for the under 3 area. I'm really impressed with this playcentre, it's a model of playcentres to me, they should all be at least of this standard.

Approximate cost: $9 per child over 12 months but sometimes even less

This review is for Lizzy's Chocolate Creations, Carnegie VIC

I'm dying for a Lizzy's fix. I wish they had a website so I could order them couriered to me. Their florentines are simply wonderful, the drunken irish snails are great, anything with caramel is my favourite! Surprisingly, their chili bomb chocolate is actually quite moreish. You'll be surprised at how much you like them, it's just the right amount of heat. I wish so much that they were more accessible. My friends know how much I love them and tried to arrange to get a box sent to me but apparently the logistics were a nightmare. I know Leo's Supermarket in Heidelberg have been known to sell a small selection of Lizzy's chocolates, as well as a sweet shop in Bendigo that I know of. Anyone else know where they might be sold that is a bit more accessible than Carnegie for us sufferers?

I always buy my bread from Bakers Delight simply because it's consistently good. I agree that the Diamond Creek store doesn't stock all the good products you can find elsewhere which is a shame but what they do sell is usually pretty good. Their lattices are yummy and the pizza rolls are extremely good. Their bread rolls are always lovely and crunchy, just what I want in a roll. The staff are almost always eager to please and polite. It's just a chain store but I think they do it pretty well here.

Really really really tasty food and good service, if you get there at the right time. It seems if you go when they're busy you will probably miss the best of what this cafe has to offer. Their pot bread is to die for - the accompanying dips are incredible. This is what I pay for when I go out to eat - something special! The entrance into the cafe is a bit of a pain, having to wander through the gift shop to get to it but there are so many nice things to look at in the shop and the nursery. The food for the ducks is quite overpriced, but they do sell smaller bags at a much more reasonable price. I will be going back again while they still sell the pot bread - it's just magnificent!

This review is for Madelines Bakery And Cafe, Diamond Creek VIC

If you're looking for really tasty bread, Baker's Delight is better, but for all the other best bits about a traditional bakery, Madeleine's is wonderful. They sell a decent coffee (but the Vines Cafe over the road makes an even better one), nice cakes and pastries, party pies if you're lucky enough to get there while they're still available and all the usual suspects. They make a pretty excellent Cajun Chicken roll which is available weekdays around lunchtime. If they've run out, they may make you one from scratch. It's worth it - that is one delicious roll.

The chicken is lovely, the souvlaki is great, and the chicken nuggets are wonderful. The chips and gravy are pretty awesome too. They sell a good variety of soft drinks to go with the food. The food seems to be mainly cooked on the spot so you have to wait a bit unless it is a pre-prepared dish. The salads are really nice although the serving sizes are ridiculously large for one person. I had a small lamb pack the other day which took me two days to eat and then I had to still throw out half of it because it was just way too much. Very tasty though.

I preferred this restaurant a few years back when the emphasis was not on bands and young people. It was a relaxing place to go for a meal and a drink. We've been there a few times and very often they will get someone's order wrong or it will take ages to come out.

It's nice, but I wouldn't go when the music starts as it's just too loud for dining. It is not a child friendly restaurant, there are high chairs but there isn't really anything for a child to do when they're not eating. There is a toybox hidden away in a secret alcove but this is nowhere near the dining area so you do need to supervise them wandering.

The food is okay but I haven't truly come across anything that makes me go "WOW" - which is what I really like to find in any restaurant.

Not a bad cafe but not one of my favourites. We go here mostly because there is a children's playroom, however it is poorly located as there is no easy way to monitor what is going on while you have your meal. The food is very nice and the coffee is very nice but for me, the child friendly aspect is the best thing, and although it meets this, it doesn't do it all that well.
