First heard about these guys from our local surf shop as they were doing a Rip Curl Girls Go Surfing day. Our 2 girls had never surfed before and were very nervous. They supply the wet suits, boards and sun cream if needed.
The instructors were brill with all the girls there. By the end of the lesson my 2 were standing up (briefly) and loving it. Be warned though they WILL get the bug and become fanatical about surfing!
They offer lessons for all abilities and individual or group lessons. The more lessons you book the cheaper they are.
We've since recommended them to lots of friends who are all now thoroughly hooked too. It's a great family sport to get into and doesn't matter how old you are you can still have a go.

We bought 2 Bearded Dragons from these guys plus the whole set up too. They gave us a great deal as we bought everything together. They have a wide range of snakes. lizards, turtles, spiders etc and it's always a good place to take (non squeamish) kids for a look at all the different creatures.
They stock all you could need for looking after these unusual pets and are offer free health checks for your scaly friends too. They are very clearly "into" what they do.

This is the first vets I tried as it was local to me when we moved here from UK. First impressions were ok because they managed to fit me in for an appointment with my dog straight away when he had a rash of some sort. However when the vet turned up late and didn't give him a thorough examination I was a bit dubious. I'm a very experienced dog person so expected them to do a skin scrape at least. I have since found another vets which I feel suits my needs more.
Having said that I do know friends who take there pets there and like their more laid back approach, it just wasn't for me.
There is also a guy there that is very much into alternative therapies including acupuncture so if in the future I needed this sort of thing for any of my pets I'd probably give him another go.

Having moved here from England with a cat and a dog I've had a few problems finding a vet I felt comfortable with. I've found all the vets I've come across at this practice to be very professional and helpful.
There's a little front garden you can wait in if it's not too hot outside which is great if you have a dog which blames every other animal in the room for him being so grumpy!
They have never tried to give me the most expensive of brands (e.g. flea treatment, wormer) they suggest which they recommend but at the same time don't push it in your face.

Always great service and willing to give advice to us beginners to the surfing scene. We always manage to find a bargain in this shop.
Other surf shops have brushed us to one side when they find out how unexperienced we are and even sniggered but the guys in here are never too busy to offer us some much needed tips and steer us towards what would suit our needs.
